Living a real SEO drama

Hello everyone,

I have worked more than 2 months on a website, buying SAPE links, web 2.0, social signals, Private Blog Posts etc... So I was #12 at this time, so I just needed a little boost, so I had the wrong idea to buy few more blog posts. It worked, but few hours later, my links dropped from #8 to #50. So I made a thread about it and most of people said that it was a Google Dance. But I knew it inside me that it wasn't true. So I waited few hours and I received a message from Google Webmastertool.

"We detected an artificial system links redirecting to your site. Buying links or participate in link schemes in order to manipulate PageRank is a violation of Google's Webmaster Guidelines. Therefore , we applied a manual action due to spam mywebsite.com/ . Other actions can be applied to all or parts of your site." :headache:

At this moment, I knew I was fucked up! So I had an idea : I had a website that I bought recently with a PR2 and 4 years old. (Really nice website for PBN) So I decided to create a 301 redirect to recover my ranks. So I moved all the content of the old website to the strong new one.

For now, I'm waiting for some news in my ranks... Iwill let you guys updated about this story.

What do you actually think about it? Will I recover my ranks? Did anyone tried 301 after a penalty? It worked?

Please let me know.

Dude..buy traffic..it's easy to test, monetize and scale.. Seo should only be done AFTER you`'ve verified, with paid traffic, that your product offering can convert!

You cannot second guess google, nor is there a specific answer to your inquiry..short story is, you only want to hear what you wanna hear..that your site will bounce back, that Google can be manipulated..there's no mathematical certainty to your dilemma..

Move on, learn media buying, or use PPV to leverage off the cheap CPC s..

I respect your answer, but I think there is so much to make with SEO.

301 redirects worked quite well in 2013 and fairly well in 2014. I think Google caught onto the 301 tricks being used to manipulate the algorithm in 2014 and dialled down the effectiveness of 301s. Therefore, I can't say for sure whether 301s will still work for penalty removal or not. I'd be interested in knowing what kind of results you get.
 
What kind of traffic do you suggest to buy for this purpose, any reliable source?

i did the same, it didn't worked out for me,
its like if you are out of the game once, you're really out!!
 
no point wasting any more time on this domain , move on mate get another domain start fresh now you know what works and what hurts . That's i have learned my lessons i have burnned 10 domains while doing churn and burn learned alot now i run one projects that easily lasts for 3 months in the mean while i get another domain setup .
 
He dabbled in sape. A manual review was a forgone conclusion eventually.
 
Fast results are always the best, but at the end you can lose the site. Simple try some natural links there and there and see if something happens, I don't know if testing 301 will be so good now. If no positive results.. start a new site. It takes 6-12 months to recover a site.
 
I did some tests on how fast you should add backlinks to your projects.
I had 4 similar websites in same niche and I've started to build the same type of links. I've only changed the time of starting and the velocity.

I had the best results with starting to build links after 4 months and no more than 50-60 new backlinks/month: web 2.0 and PBNs.

It's not a rule of course; just some results of my own testing.
 
I have to mention something that you should test before you start another project. If you really have a monetizing method try to use the "legit" way, meaning that you should buy some Ads from the search engine that you target. After that if you see that you have a conversion a bit higher than 1% then you should think about some Black Hat techniques. Otherwise you should reconsider your work :)

Did you pointed those SAPE links directly to your money site? What you did is nothing other than churn n' burn strategy. It was just a question of time when your site gets spanked
 
:1: its a manual review, its like 98.76% of link building technique useless against that, bad luck is all

well my Ace Suggestion would be... not stopping your seo practices... get some fake traffic to make it look real.. backlink - traffic ratio type thing
keep building regular links at a random number... so as to make it look real... so as those links will eventually dilute and marked as real and u will rank top again and rank better
 
I know people say that a 301 doesn't pass the penalty straight away, but I took that to mean sites that had been slapped with an algorithmic penalty.

Surely if it has received a manual review, they will keep a register, and you are essentially just directing G to your new site.

I have no experience of this. These are just my thoughts. Hopefully, a more experienced member can explain what happens when you 301 a site that has failed a manual review.

Secondly - You did wait 3-4 weeks after removing the content from the penalized site to allow it to de-index, before uploading on the new site, right? If not, you are just going to get hit with a duplicate content penalty.
 
Well, seeing as this SEO bandwagon is all you know... perhaps, instead of ditching that domain, use video on youtube to rank and point to that domain... end of story.
Video ranks, you can play around with optimizing it etc... people gravitate towards video.

Don't just make any stupid video, use whiteboard animations, spend some time making a quality video that addresses your visitors' problem, don't be biased towards your solution, rather, be partial, offer pros and cons, then let your site be the alternative solution.
