List building on content sites.

What's the best way to list build on a content site? It really doesn't lend itself to the traditional squeeze page. I ran accross http://www.easy-list-builder.com and http://www.reversesqueezepage.com. (Those are the sales pages - they look like they're the same thing.) Has anyone used those? Are there better ways? I've always heard that the money is in the list but I haven't found much written about this. Essentially, what's the best way to capture a visitors email on a content/authority site? Thanks!
