Long time lurker here(probably 10+ years), had an account way back in the day(can't even figure out my old username lol) but haven't posted under this username. This initial post will be just as much of an introduction as it is the start of this journey.
My journey is simple - make more money through list building. I don't really believe in setting $x,xxx/mo goals because I don't believe you should put a cap on your goals. My goal is to make more money today than I did yesterday (more this month than last month for you literal people), in the shortest amount of time possible.
I've been building and marketing websites 1998(I was 13 then). I've built more affiliate/offer driven sites than I can count over the years, mostly just building them up to $200/mo then selling them - more as a side hobby. It's been awhile though! Time to get my feet wet again, but I wanted to try something new in list building.
Currently I own a couple other businesses(digital agency w/17 employees & 2 physical locations, SEO Software(SaaS service that some of you might even use)). So bare with my if I don't always update this thread on time, I work 65 hours a week as it is and this will mainly just be a for fun project to see how far I can automate and scale it
To sum up the strategy around this journey, I'll be running FB ads to a squeeze page that has a free premium content offer(ebook), which get's them into a 5 series drip email training course with other guides for the first 7 days. The emails are super personable and offer a ton of value. I'm not looking to hard push any offers in the initial drip campaign, just trying to earn their trust + get them salivating to hear from me again. I do have a couple links to amazon products in the PDF guides, but it's not front and center by any means. I'll use the list to send out one-time offers and promotions around holidays and events that are big in this niche.
