    Hey guys,
Long time lurker here(probably 10+ years), had an account way back in the day(can't even figure out my old username lol) but haven't posted under this username. This initial post will be just as much of an introduction as it is the start of this journey.

My journey is simple - make more money through list building. I don't really believe in setting $x,xxx/mo goals because I don't believe you should put a cap on your goals. My goal is to make more money today than I did yesterday (more this month than last month for you literal people), in the shortest amount of time possible.

I've been building and marketing websites 1998(I was 13 then). I've built more affiliate/offer driven sites than I can count over the years, mostly just building them up to $200/mo then selling them - more as a side hobby. It's been awhile though! Time to get my feet wet again, but I wanted to try something new in list building.

Currently I own a couple other businesses(digital agency w/17 employees & 2 physical locations, SEO Software(SaaS service that some of you might even use)). So bare with my if I don't always update this thread on time, I work 65 hours a week as it is and this will mainly just be a for fun project to see how far I can automate and scale it :)

To sum up the strategy around this journey, I'll be running FB ads to a squeeze page that has a free premium content offer(ebook), which get's them into a 5 series drip email training course with other guides for the first 7 days. The emails are super personable and offer a ton of value. I'm not looking to hard push any offers in the initial drip campaign, just trying to earn their trust + get them salivating to hear from me again. I do have a couple links to amazon products in the PDF guides, but it's not front and center by any means. I'll use the list to send out one-time offers and promotions around holidays and events that are big in this niche.

    Flow broken down:
Step 1: Traffic Source Facebook Ads
Step 2: Squeeze Page Free premium content offer
Step 3: Thank You Redirect landing page & follow up email with premium content + bonus
Step 4: Drip Campaign Part of premium content promise (5 emails over 7 days) + a couple small non-pushy offers
Step 5: One Off Email Campaigns Seasonal & event driven content + offers
I'd love as much feedback, suggestions and criticism as you can give on my campaign and progress as we go!

Launched the squeeze page, drip campaign and turned on the traffic source late Sunday night, started with 0 subscribers.
    Email subscribers: 389
Amazon Sales: $46.98 (sales, not commission)

Yes, I don't say what it is, but it's a super targeted niche around something that has made a comeback in recent years - I think due to 80s/90s kids growing up and wanting to relive their youth.

Well Amazon decided to shut down my associates account after the first two sales - has anyone every experienced this before? The website is fully built out with a 100% custom design and hundreds of quality, unique pages.

Maybe they didn't like that all the traffic was coming through email?

No real experience with list building as most of our clients already have lists when they come to us, which is part of the reason why I wanted to start a list building project. When you break it down though, list building is just another conversion, my background is converting product sales and service conversions, so converting someone to an email list is pretty much the same thing, just different offer/landing page style and how you speak to the user.

No new sales since Amazon booted me haha. List is now up to 576 subscribers.

No disclaimers or pricing, might be something good to test though!

I really need to create more content, so far I only have day 1 and day 3 set up on my drip campaign. I need to create something great for 5 & 7, then maybe perhaps a bonus email at the end. Can't find the time though :/

Current list is at 689, I'm hoping to be at 800 by tomorrow night - that would be one week since launch. Landing page has been converting around 40%!

I was asking because it creates an issue for the Amazon TOS so that could be a potential ban reason

Since most of my content is email driven, do I need to state something at the bottom of the email, or can I just link to an external TOS page?
