I beg to differ. Flash player crawls. With 2 youtube videos at the same time you get 100% CPU load. Does not support 3 monitors on 2 video cards (my setup and main reason why i'm not on linux). Most programs are just usable but ugly as hell (except OOo which is nice). OOo crawls if you make a spreadsheet with thousands of rows. The file explorer was designed by a drunken monkey. Every time you install something you will end up reading 10 man pages and doing 30 google searches and finally 100 trial and error changes to a conf file.
For security reasons I would have switched to linux if it was decent. It is not. For me personally it sucks big time. Great as a server (because I have learned it) but sucks as desktop. As a matter of fact I find it more elegant to work 100% in putty on my linux home server than in Gnome/KDE.
In a way linux is like PHP... kinda retarded, ugly, swears a lot, does everything you want just not the way you want it.
Just my 2c, not trying to start a win vs linux war (I still like XP more than 7 but I have 8GB RAM so I'm stuck with 7).
