Linkwheel question

Hello All,

When creating a linkwheel, do you create new user accounts on each of the web 2.0 sites for each wheel you create?

Or do you use existing accounts and create a new post / lens / page for each new wheel.

I ask this as I am currently doing the process manually (apart from the tier 2 blast) and so want to see if I could reuse accounts I have already registered?

As a general practice, if it is for the same/existing site or project...I suggest going ahead and making a new wheel on the same account. It build longevity and reputation strength for those accounts, giving you social authority, which is just now being recognized in the web 2.0 sites that are still new and making the move from social to community based. The tighter these groups get, the tighter their security and trust will become for anyone popping in with a new account.

If it is a new site/business/company...I suggest creating a new one then, due to having it stand on its own legs and independently function within the social realm.

However, if it is a company/project/site you own, I would HIGHLY suggest creating an umbrella company and handling/managing and promoting all of your sites through that one account as the go-to source. This option only works for legitimate businesses though. Only do this one for legitimate and straightup businesses, as anything funky will take the entire rep of the whole network of properties down with it.

Thanks Aftershock, so new accounts it is. I figured there is also the low footprint aspect should any of my sites invoke a manual inspection.

Do you know if these linkwheels are still effective?

My first few sites need a boost to get on the first page, but to be very honest they are not yet making any income to enable me to buy links though any of the monthly subscription services.

The only other SEO efforts I have made are manual blog commenting through scrapebox, some directory submissions and a few links gained through a BMR trial, and some social bookmarking through socialadr.

Link wheels are still effect. Even in whitehat use.
Its the overall concept behind link pushing. If you have time, just make it more complex by linking to tier 2 sites before hitting your money site.

Oh yeah, link wheels and link pushes work better than ever, if they are done properly.

Social bookmarketing, networking and directory submissions are all solid practices. I would suggest going for forum/community building than blog commenting, as blogs ate still very hot but, they are leaning more towards being soical based, where it is about the posting of the author/owner, rather than comments, due to comment spamming causing more and more open blogs to be blocked.

Use forums and express your knowledge to support and better others, while tagging your profile with your sites and if you prove yourself of value to the forum readers, they will find your other links.

Seo is a series of standard practices within open-end, interchangable elements, which will fit to anyone's desired need. All you have to do is find methods you have interest in, techniques/skills of application that work and that connect with the mindset of your specific market/niche.

This is a serious social game now as well as a technological one. Think about the people you are trying to reach and see where they hangout and what forums, sites, tools, products they use...as if you are a customer yourself.

Use that information to compile a customer avatar and try to get the attention of that person. The like-minded will follow the same style of communication funnel.

Yeah, that is a good practice, the deeper the content leads - the better the sales results, as long as it doesn't lead them into a gauntlet of too much content, as the guru guys tend to overkill, which causes static overwhelm, having the user do nothing instead of act.
