Hello guys,

Anyone recently tested press releases as a traffic generating campaign?

Can you tell me how many links you ideally use now from a press release which is mass distributed?

Basically, how many should be used inside the content? The one at the bottom is compulsory.

It would be a abrupt anchor text distribution if I link from a keyword.

Would love to hear out from you.

That is based on the plan would you choose. there is variety of plans starting from basic plan to ultimate plan..And also article length is should be a matter in the links..

hope you build one or two links for your keyword

I would say only 2 links throughout - 1 contextual link in the actual article, and 1 brand link in the footer/bio, in my opinion.

I'd say one link, probably on your brand name.

However personally I wouldn't bother. We tried a service and all we got was a bunch of no-follow links. No traffic and it's helpfully skewed all our reporting as we got 100 odd links on one day. Do you use an agency or use your own distribution at the moment? I'd stick to that and keep PR separate to SEO. Any SEO benefit gained from releases is then a nice bonus :)

Yeah, sounds good. I know it has negligible contribution to SEO but 200-300 links from a single anchor would look damn spammy. Using an agency at the moment.

Just dont want to mess up the existing SEO campaign.

We use an agency too. I'd definitely say avoid in that case and let the PRs do their job. But you could try talking to your agency about increasing your distribution, which might indirectly increase traffic? I'm doing something similar...

I use for local businesses, you can have the NAP together with the business name and the naked url

Yeah, will do that.
