LinkPushing Case Study

There are now 112 back links indexed in Yahoo. And at last check there were 47 keywords ranking in the top 1k with all of them under 500

Can someone please give me a definition of what "a linkpush" is.

I don't need to be spoon-fed here, but the way i understand it, linkpushing is just building backlinks to your first layer of links... am i right?

You can also go to linkpushing.net to see more

I have been following this thread too. I purchased some LPs this month, and have them scheduled to run, and I believe I will be buying a bunch more next month. I have a similar concept I want to try because I see massive potential with LPs. Question though. How will you be monetizing the forum? Thanks.

I will probably monetize with a rotating banner in between the first and second post in a thread from CJ.com. I have not completely decided yet if I am going to or how but if I do, I am leaning towards CJ banners or even some CPA offers if there is enough traffic.

Bhw is hungry for an update :)

How many LP have you done?

How many kw are in top1000?

Any traffic from G. yet?

And how is it going with your fight against spammers?

LOL. Today is the end of week 3. The news is Good and not so good.

The good news is that 198 pushes have completed and still not deindexed. the bad news is that there are only 5 keywords ranking.

There was at one time nearly 40 ranking under 500. I think that they dropped out due to the lack of content. There are 708 topics and 1447 posts. I could put more content but I don't want to change the parameters of the test by doing that.

I don't know where the traffic is coming from as I am not running analytics on this one but the Alexa traffic is down to 9 million so there are a few getting there. A few people have signed up.

I am staying ahead of the flood of spammers. Seems that most of them are coming from the Ukraine and Russia. Pretty soon no one in the Ukraine will ever be able to get to the site. I just ban the entire range of IP addresses. It's not like hundreds of thousands of them will be joining anyhow.

On to next week, then we get more link pushes and do it again.

Appreciate you taking the time to do this and update. Last week, I was reading this thread and at the bottom were these words (yours):

There is more out there than just AdSense.

Think Bigger

It's one of those epiphany moments where it just clicked. Like that. It makes sense. Yeah, there is much more out there than adsense. Adsense is the easy route and most use it, including me.

I've got lots of plans now with the LP because it is such a powerful tool. And that's what it is. I recall Greg promoting this before it was ever automated and it was working great for him then. Why I didn't jump on it then, I do not know. That's why I'm intrigued by all these case studies. Even in my own situation, I threw 3 LPs at a medium tough word (3 more to go, plus 3 more KWs); after a week, it just crossed 100 and is going down.

The forum thing interested me because I have two domains that this would work on well because they haven't gone anywhere since I got them a year ago. Thanks again.

For arguments sake I am also doing a study, as people mentioned they might be keen on lower spend results.

I will be posting my results here. What I am doing is only targeting non competitive KW and those that have content supporting on my site.

So far the process is

KW 1 Create content on site for it
KW 1 Create link push to another page on same subject, i.e. straight to the money page or the target page rather than funnel through.
I am also doing versions where the link push goes only to the content page and THEREAFTER to the money page.

My first case study is as follows.

KW - Low competition
42,000,000 results
one site with keyword in title.
chasing only 260 local searches and 1300 worldwide

I did one months link pushes for this keyword - hitting the KW 3 times in the first month, So 3 of my 12 pushes were on one kw.

We added a AMR blast for insurance ( wrong I know ) but still only 8th position.

The next studies will be LP results only.

Hope this does not constitute a hijack

KW 2 -

KW - How to XXX -
Low competition
no sites with title kw
chasing 1900 local searches 18100 worldwide
1 link push

No results.

I definately think that one needs to do muliple pushes per KW per run. So for example 12 KW and 12 Link pushes will not have impact on each imo at this time.

Ill be back -

I have however noted... that across the board... ALL my terms are up that i have used more than once in each LP.

It is hard not to also add to LP with some other activity but I am doing that now to see how LP on its own works.

I'm thinking, and this is where Greg and others more experienced can chime in, but after you do the major push of multiple LPs and your site is Google Page 1 for a particular KW, maintenance is less intensive but still you probably need to hit it a couple of times a month just for insurance. Tougher competition may need a bunch more.

holy crap you could probably just do a bunch of spam and rank for those easy keywords.

It all depends on what you consider low competition. Is it adwords competition or seo competition?

I just put up a new site and within 24 hours I had a keyword at #1 from the time I posted the article. I did 2 pushes to the article yesterday afternoon and now spots 2 and 3 are linkpush doc share articles that then link to my site. I hope the SB blast does not push them to the top.. LOL

Hey TNphoneman, do you think that 1 or 2 link pushes will get a site with VERY low competition to page 1, by low comp, I mean they are ranking for the keyword by chance.

And also how my LPs would I need for a site with low comp (2 or 3 compeditors that don't really know what they are doing as far as on site and link building)

Some times all you need is a set of jumper cables to get things started. Glad I could help with that.

I have a question about your keyword going down, was the site sitting dormant for a while? I have seen my customer sites drop in the beginning only to pick back up later on. I have seen the same thing happen with scrapebox comments on a stagnant site so this is not something that only occurs with linkpushes.

You don't go to work on your car with just a screwdriver (usually you bring a beer or a hammer :D) but like you said, linkpushing is only a tool and should not be the only tool you bring to work on your sites. But, for the purposes of this case study, we left the toolbox at home.

I think that the keywords would do better if I pushed them at the individual subforums but that was not part of the study. We are throwing them all at the home page. We are still only 3 weeks into this too.

Let me ask you all a question though. Would you like to see what happens when we push the keywords to the individual subforums? What do you think?

What do you think Greg?

I think that we have proven that it does not sandbox the site because all of the keywords got an equal number of pushes (6) and there are still some ranking. The others may pop back up over the next week too.

I really don't have a clear cut answer for that. Some that I thought would be easy have turned out to be harder than I first thought. Others that I thought would be difficult got there with one push. I wish that I had that magical mathematical formula, I would be rich. The site I just put up 2 days ago has 15 articles, I threw 2 pushes at each article. May be more than is needed and some may not be enough.

I'm really glad you made a case study for this. I thought the service was great when I initially read through it and this thread has supported my initial assumptions. I've already bookmarked the homepage and will be using the system in the future.

I'll be keeping watch on this thread more.

EDIT: First post? Haha

Thanks man, I honestly don't know what to do any more. With the recent Panda update (2.1) One of my sites dropped to #400.. It was ranking #4. I have recently just sent 3 pushes to this.

And one of my other sites is completely out of the top1000. It was ranking #10 before Panda 1, I have sent 1 push to this.

Do you think this is enough? Do you think its just a dance or?

(sorry for getting off topic)
