LinkPushing Case Study

imo it's stupid.
Say you get good results. You're going to get thousands of people doing the same thing.
Once upon a time blog comments and forum links were really good, but people decided to push the envelope with those too, now they're garbage.

You are certainly welcome to your opinion.

However, did you stop to think about what is being created? If each push averaged 8 links to your site directly, that is only a total of 1600 for the month linking directly to your site. How is that abuse?

In order for Google to discount something there has to be a large pattern to what you are doing. Like everything linking to the $$$ site or interlinking sites. Maybe all one type of link such as the blog comments. Using the same sites over and over to link to your money site etc.

Blog commenting still works, you just need 10k instead of 1k to have the same effect.

I don't know how many sites are used in Greg's system but I do know that they just added a bunch and are constantly adding more. This system and process survived the last Google update and I don't see how it can not survive any future updates unless changes to onpage content is the only thing used to rank a site. (I believe they already tried this)

People do this exact same structure manually every single day. All Greg and Kevin have done is automate it. The key here is that they did not speed it up. As a matter of fact, they randomized the timing of the process. There is no automated system that I am aware of that makes the link building process look more human.

Like I said at the beginning, you are more than welcome to your opinion.

Glad you understand, it's just how I feel. Cant' really change it.
Yeah it's not a ton of links, but what if someone decides to try 1000 pushes, then 10,000 pushes. etc. etc.

The thing that will stop that is their wallet. Sure there will be some that can afford it, but the ones that can are usually smarter than the average bear and know not to abuse something.

I am not saying it can't happen, what I am saying is the chances of it happening are slim to none.

You will probably find others that will copy the system but there will be no standalone software that will be able to duplicate what they do.

I hear (I have not looked at it) SENuke comes close but you still have to do the work setting up the sites and you have no access to the private networks and you still have to pay a monthly fee and you will not build up the number of sites that they have.

It is to their advantage to balance between what works and what is abuse. I am willing to bet that those that purchased the large packages are not using them on one site.

Glad we can agree to disagree.

This was created because it is a hobby of mine with the intention of possibly monetizing it in the future.

So you are actually going to make a project, mainly based on your own preference and hobby. That's a good start for a success full forum :)

If you don't mind, then please pass on the url in a PM. Especially if the forum is d0 follow :D

Why did you pick the linkpushing as your link strategy? Do you have good experience with his link service?

Just curious because I consider to try out his service myself.

This is my third month using link pushing and I have seen some amazing things happen with my sites and that of my customers. As I said earlier, I have a site that is newer than the forum and I hit that with 15 pushes the first month. I am now on the second month of that sites existence.

I have seen how it helped and did not hurt the sites involved. I started with 1 linkpush and before that was even completed I bought the 12 push package and have upgraded every month since then.

The second reason was that Greg needed another case study with a site that would be difficult to rank. What is harder to rank than a brand new empty forum other than maybe an all flash site... LOL

At this level of 50 pushes that I am at now, each push only costs a little over $6 each. Using my time, I can't build what they build for that amount of money.

I am not ready to reveal the forum yet. I might when the test is over.

are you friends with the link pusher guy or is this an unbiased run just to prove it works. and will you be honest and let us know if it get's sandboxed?

The only connection I have with him is using his services. This is a run to prove it works. I would never put up my site if I thought it would hurt the site. I own the site, Greg does not. I picked out the keywords and I am submitting the pushes and doing the tracking. The only involvement Greg has is supplying the pushes for the testing. I even spent the money to get the software to put some initial content on there.

That was the long answer, the short answer is yes. I will be posting the tracking numbers every week as we go along.

There are currently 14 pushes processing at the moment.

He'll be honest... he owes me nothing and I owe him nothing... this is just business.

This is interesting because I haven't seen much movement with link pushing alone on any of my sites but then I never pushed the envelope with it either. That being said I use the service more or less as an upkeep to keep fresh links rolling in.

What I don't understand is why a forum and why 200 pushes a month? Not very many people could afford the monthly cost of the 200 link push. I would have loved to see a niche site with low to mid competition with an affordable link push plan. I think more people would be able to relate to this.

Don't get me wrong I love what Greg and Kevin Are doing and I fully support Linkpushing as I am also a customer but I would love to have seen some a smaller site with competitive keywords over a forum. IMHO OFC.

Got a site like that?

PM me/email me/skype me and let's see what we can do as a case study!

I know you well enough that if you have a site like that or if you want to build a site like that you will be honest in your assessment, good or bad.

I think that would be an awesome case study! I am also following this one too, to finally close the door on the paranoid sandboxers. But 200 push plan does seem a little steep for the average user.

I agree that it is steep for the average user but the thing is, if I can't hurt the site with 200 pushes then anything below that will not hurt sites either. And this is a new site that is just over a month old.

BTB - have you made a case study, where you get a site out of it's sandbox?

How many links do you get to your money site with each push? I doubt that it's going to be a problem, but it's always interesting to get some facts from your test, rather than guessing :)

I am still fairly new at all of this so let me ask a question.

What is harder to rank, a new small niche site with very good seo or a new and virtually empty forum with no SEO done to it?

I think that a forum would be the harder choice between the two. Especially since this niche has a lot of saturation. The 200 pushes was to disprove the sandbox theory with this service. If I can do it with my site at 200 you could do it with your site at 12, 30, 50 etc which are more affordable to the average user.

The keywords were chosen using the AdWords competition level only so there is a mix of competition from the very difficult to the easy as far as actual page ranking.

Good questions.

We are in the process of one now. The site owner has an occupation that sometimes takes a lot of time and energy so it is slowly progressing.

How many links do you get to your money site with each push?

That number varies and it always will to keep things random.

I know Greg asked in another thread for someone to sandbox a site for him so I assume he is testing on one of his sites.

For the links I have figured that a good average of DIRECT links to your $$$ site is around 8 so that would put the monthly total for 200 pushes somewhere in the neighborhood of 1600 direct links.

The whole push varies between 40 and 80 links so if you take an average of 50 links per push from top to bottom that is 10k properties. I am not counting the links that are not auto approve, only the ones you can actually see when they are finished.

All good questions guys and gals, keep them coming. This is how we all learn.

I will also say I would love a case study in which you take the niche site with medium-low competition. In terms of what is affordable, I would say 5 link pushes. Then look at how it affects one keyword. I would also like to know how "medium-low competition" is judged. Is it by number of competing pages or what? Is you guys did this that would be great :)
