Hi all, Im not sure about this one so I would really like your advice.

I have 2 websites.

One is established and one is new.

I am referring traffic from my established site to my new site.

I have linked to my new site from several blog posts on my established site.

is this likely to cause any issues?

By itself it won't.

If you use the same PBN for both then you're asking for it.

Point is to keep them unique on all levels.

"I have linked to my new site from several blog posts on my established site. "

If the main site is classed as an authority site and you're using that as a reference source, then 2 or 3 times should be fine, but don't do it too often and don't be linking back the other way, is my suggestion.

I have linked about 5 blog posts from my authority site to my new site. Would you consider that risky?

Relevancy is the central idea behind this. I’d also stay conservative on how much linking you’re doing as well in the tactic you’re using between both of your properties. The same white hat principles you’d apply to any other site you’d link to are applicable in this situation as well.

I'm in the same situation... 1 site has more authority than the other one and both in the same niche.
Both sites are on seperate servers with different whois info as I don't want anybody to know that both sites belong to me.
And NO... I have no links between the sites. I believe it's safe to add a few links but as link profiles look somewhat similar already I'm not willing to link from one site to another.

Just my 2 cents and that's what I'm doing.

Thanks for answering.

I'm going to remove the links and just keep 1.

Better be safe than sorry.
