Google doesn't like link exchange activities since according to them, it's one way of manipulating search engine rankings.

Its good you being ready for an exchange program, but finding it online through a search will give you better results, try reaching a number of parties in the gaming niche & email them, thats way better & quick.

Link exchange is good but aggressive link exchange leads to penalize. It may helps but one-way links are the best. Its better to get one-way links rather then investing your time asking around for link exchange..

I though exchanges were just fine if you're not doing it with 200 sites. Relevant and quality exchanges with just a few sites (20-30) is ok?
