Link Building using videolinks ( a bit of help )

Hi guys, i hope your all doing good, a famous cream brand is doing a new activation in my countries where students will have 30 sec to explain on a camera why they are using the face cream and why it is so good, they asked us to develop a video portal linked to a youtube account, they are asking us to promote those videos to generate traffic on their landing page, i am a bit confused about this side of the proposal, obviously we can promote using social media on targeted pages tagging the students in each video etc etc.


Will there be other efficient ways to do it ? i dont mind hiring as a third party the person that would give a winning idea. Client is a multinational brand, activation will last one month and we really have to focus on generating targeted traffic to the landing page with those videos.

Perhaps they were talking about adding annotations to a youtube video. When you add annotations, you have the option to insert a link to another video, a channel or an external landing page. So, at a certain part in the video, a bubble would pop up and show a link.

Or perhaps they thought you would just have a segment in the video featuring their website URL although that does not promote a good user experience because viewers would have to manually type in the URL to get to their website.
