I am just a beginner in SEO. Can anyone help me to understand that what are best Link Building Techniques to create backlinks?
please answer according to latest SEO techniques of 2015.

1. Do KW Research and On - Page.
2. Build Some 2.0s.
3. Diversity and Velocity with Bookmarks and Blog Comments.
4. Build links to your 2.0s.
5. Build 301 Shorteners and Profile Links.
6. Public Blog Network.
7. SAPE / Guest Post / 301.

Authority site link is most preferable to make backlink. It gives first priority for ranking.
 
Really grateful of you for mentioning this thread here as this is really informative and i found answers of many question which were in my mind. it was really helpful to make a clear concept about link building :)

Quite helpful thread to understand the basics of link building. can you please explain important points to consider while we go for Directory Submission as you mentioned that it is still working. in which way it can be used in fruitful way?

2nd tier - WEB 2.0 platforms
3rd tier - GSA
 
Create awesome content and share it as much as possible. They say content is king for a reason. If the content is really good, you can even get the top-tier ultra premium links sometimes.

i think the same but there are many people who are saying that IME directory submission is still working. if it is, i really want to know how?
