GSA Works depends on niche really if its highly competitive you wont be having much luck with auto links. Best strategy is buy very good links.

PBN posts. That's all you need. Just get a bunch of PBN posts from high metric domains. No need to mess around with web 2.0s, press release, tier 1, tier 2, GSA blasts none of that. Just get contextual back links, ideally 300+ words, from high metric PBN domains

Build your own PBN. Even if you have to start small and grow it over time. That's what makes it a 'PRIVATE' BN

Buying the links is a quick way to get results, if you know you can rank it might be easier to just buy posts, rank, and start profiting quickly

Do the basics right. Web 2, socials, listings, buy some quality contextual links. Overall..keep building..
PBNs are great to rank but all those other links just helps in diversification.
Having plenty amounts of platforms is good for seo, though PBNs will get you to the top.
