Link Building Strategies

The king of all links are contextual links, i.e. links that come from articles, blog posts, press releases, etc. Yes, all the social bookmarking and forums stuff is good, but ONLY for diversity - on their own, they are worth nothing.
I second that, search for good contextual links from high authority sites and from other sites on your niche (guest posts)

profile links are not in use anymore dude, but you can get link juice if you can keep the profiles active by regularly posting with that profile.
actually the main thing that you need is link diversity. your link building strategy should have a diversified design. all kind of links should be present in the map.

You should better work with Web 2.0 sites and using backlinks to them. Also it seems to me that Social bookmarking is working well.

Article backlinks are still really a strong source of quality backlinks. But after penguin update we have to build links using articles very carefully.
In one article use different keywords and different links anchor texting those links with keywords. The keywords and the links beneath keyword must be relevant to survive from penguin.

The more links you build the better, just be sure to not spam and make your link building look natural.

My strategy, I build a completely manual tier 1, comprised on web 2.0 and social bookmarks. If i want to take a a step further I will build a manuall web 2.0 tier 2 then I'll start to blast the tier 2 with different backlinks and etc using senukex or different software.

I've got the same strategy like you
I also add Press release submission and document sharing sites with high quality and unique article. Should be around 1-2 links adde. Otherwise you'll be slapped by Google
