link building questions

I need to understand the basics of link building and I have 2 questions:
1.Let's say I create a fresh site,add content and my homepage is a static page.DA 0 PA 0 . I start link building and after 6 months I have DA 45 PA 55.My question: what happens if I decide to change the homepage with other page? The page which was on the homepage will have PA 0 now?
2.What if I have 30 posts and I put them all on the homepage?Does this help my posts PA with something?

It is not about PA..it was just an example.it could be any metric

Every metric has its specific details. You can't raise every metric with just one formula.

I honestly don't go by Moz's metrics, I used Majestic for years but haven't paid the subscription for a while now and I hear their metrics are being messed with as well. Which leaves Ahrefs' metrics.

Page Authority is influenced by content in the sense that good content attract good links. The content quality affects Google ranking, but I don't know how PA is calculated so I can't say good content directly affects PA. Surely good content can only do you good, no harm.

Sorry for that. I thought you are specific about PA. But as @bartosimpsonio mentioned you can not define all metrics in the same parameter

I think it's better to split up the posts with more pages instead of the homepage may getting more page views when the viewers move from page 1 to page 2 and page 2 to page 3 and so on.

1. If the URL remains the same but the content changes then yes, if I understand your question.

2. More pages.

If its good quality content then will get increase in metrics,keep building links from an authority site which is relevant to your niche.
