Hello,

I would like to know when you start link building for a new website nowadays ?

Start small, and wait until its at least a month old. A handful of social shares, then maybe build 2 or 3 PBN sites over the next month. Then manually post a link or two on some forums. Then a few more socials. Then pump a few links to the PBN. It starts SMALL man... and it depends on the site's niche and your goals. I don't hit a site hard with links until the 3rd or 4th month at earliest. Your links have to be IN LINE WITH your traffic. If you get 50 visits a day you shouldn't have more than a link or two a day. If you get 200 visitors a day you maybe can build a little more. Google KNOWS your traffic roughly and they KNOW your inbound links. Make sure the percentages match and look natural. 50% of your visitors WILL NOT naturally post a link about you.
 
First, fix your on page SEO. Then start building quality links slow and steadily. Since, this is a new sites don't rush add more unique contents, create pages in social media pages and share your content.
 
I would be more worried about content in a new site than link building. Create great content. Not good content, then work towards establishing your social media presence. That should be what you should be doing during the first 3 months of the site. It's the cheapest way to getting yourself unwavering traffic in the long run.
 
For my new site, First I want to increase the metrics of my site and try to increase the viewers. So I go for social networking. Post the link to the Facebook and Twitter. These are the powerful source to increase the popularity of my site.

Then I go for link building. At first choose the quality keywords that has low competition. Then I build links in PBN sites. Make the quality content for my site.

Then I check the DA and PA regularly of my site.
 
Start small. Some web2.0s, social shares, community sites, commenting on niche site. Add more content and after 2 to 3 months, then you can start normal link building.
 
If any people want to get good rank in Google and making some money through it means they should start a link building.Because it is the easy way to get good ranking in the short span.
You can also concentrate on On-page optimization with link building to get good and steady ranking.
 
Or hit it hard and keep it up. Think viral. Think about link velocity.

This way you don't need to listen to the above slowness and dull white hat recommendations.
 
Create more quality content related to your niche.
Get people to connect to you site through social media shares that helps to get high traffic.
Focus on your inner page of the site that could provide more information to the viewers.

In my opinion, for a new website don't start link building. Wait for some time until your site gets little aged and then go for link building. When Google crawls a new website, it finds your website with backlinks your site gets penalised.
Just increase your metrics and focus on On-Page SEO. Share your site on social networks and try to increase your site traffic. Update your website regularly with quality content.
After 4 to 6 months start link building.
 
You can build up anytime.

But you should use a calm IP in building a portfolio link in google index.

Domain Age is important, the older domain has much more backlinks that could able to rank site higher.
But for the new domain and new website there is no time needed for doing link building. you can done at any time.
 
Start slow and steady link building. Guest posts, social shares,etc.. There is no standard period to build links. Since your site is new, so you have to move safe and secure.

After posting some content you can gradually increase the links
 
Drip feeding is the best way for new sites.Use unique content and starts link building. Don't add too much links at time. Try some social media to rank high.
