Link building (authority site). Question :)

i hope you could help me im a greenhorn in this material .

After reading a lot in this forum i decided to build an authority website. Right now im trying to get an idea about link building.
Lets say my authority website is about marriages. Lets say marriages ( . c o m) . ( I cant write urls since im still new to this forum).

So the authority website would have url categories like

• w w w.marriages( . c o m) / certificates
  
• w w w.marriages( . c o m) / holidays
  
• w w w.marriages( . c o m) / dress

So i would need to target the 3 different niches with link building in this category.

My question is do I have to target each of the 3 different sub urls through link building or just through the authority domain marriage( . c o m) ?

Lets say I create for each keyword of the category :



(marriages certificates / marriages holidays / marriages dress)


15 web2.0 blogs. So 45 web2.0 blogs in total. Every blog would have one link to my website. Would each blog need to have the exact link of the category like:

• w w w.marriages( . c o m) / certificates (for each of the 15 blogs i would use it 1 time)
  
• w w w.marriages( . c o m) / holidays (for each of the 15 blogs i would use it 1 time)
• w w w.marriages( . c o m) / dress (for each of the 15 blogs i would use it 1 time)
  

Or just 45 links to marriages( . c o m) ?

Correct decision.

Target your inner pages with the lion's share of your offsite SEO. Do not target the root all that much as that is not very natural when the inner pages are the ones with the more precise information about your general niche.

you shud variation. its must to build links to inner pages.

Now take everything I say with a grain of salt as I've only had about six months of doing this stuff but I've been building one heck of a authority site in my niche.

Link mostly to you inner pages. However, it is critical to inner link the shit out of your articles, products, etc inside of your site. I've got mine looking like freakin Wikipedia (about a link for every 100 words) and this allows the link juice from one page to flow through the rest of your site. Site wide links such as your menu also facilitate this but not as much as in content contextual links. Inner links also build some link juice on their own as well. I was in the top 30 - 60 with many of my keywords/products with almost no backlinks and good content (see PhpBuilt's awesome thread).

Which proportion would you guys recommend? lets say i have 45 blogs. How many of them should have a link to the inner site and how many to the authority site?

I would like to promote the inner pages more. I was thinking to open instead of 1 authority site 3 different niche site although they are kind of related. But i heard that it would be better to create an authority site, because of better xxx..... I read a lot of different threads here in this forum. Some people say that to have the keyword in the domain is really important for google some say that it is irrelevant. What is the truth? Assuming i have 3 niches x,y,z.

Would it be a big difference for the google ranking if i would have 3 niche site like

- w w w . z . c o m



or

- w w w . m. c o m / x
- w w w . m. c o m / y
- w w w . m. c o m / z

?

Each page of your site would have its own existence on the internet so build links to those that you want to rank.
