I have a small suggestion that likes depends on mostly that you have helped someone but most of the likes comes from lounge so i will suggest likes from lounge should not be counted just like messages.

Thank you!

I see your point
The problem is that sometimes newbies post doubts in the wrong section, on Lounge in most cases
So, we can be helpful on Lounge as well. There are some digital marketing subjects that don't have a specific section (Threads, Bluesky or Telegram for example), so they often go to Lounge too.
Not everything posted on Lounge is meant to be funny or farm engagement through jokes xD

Yeah but that case is less i guess. High % is for fun and entertainment.

To be honest, whether they should or not, I personally wouldn't factor a like ratio into any calculations I make when deciding on how much weight to give to a members reply, nor into my likelihood of doing business with them.

Instead, go onto their profile and review their relatively recent posts. (If they have made their profile private - run a mile regardless of post count, registration date or like ratio. There is no reasonable reason for them doing so; period)

They should also count.

Many members provide value even in lounge section, which overall contribute to forum directly or indirectly.

It's tough to kill likes in the lounge as there is stuff posted in there that is likeable.

Community members should get credit for their contributions in the lounge, just like anywhere else.

Random example:

Joe Blow jokes that he used Uber so often this week that they put him on the no-drive list and consider him an Uber terrorist.

Of course, that is not true, but can be considered funny and spark some conversation that makes peoples' lives just a little bit better.

I don't think that it is inappropriate that they get universal recognition in the form of a like for that (sorry example I know).

I'll leave this open for the weekend in case others have thoughts or ideas.
