"Like this" replaced "Become a fan"

So, it's live now !

We talked about it earlier and I just saw that "become a fan" is replaced with "like this"

instead of your fan page having a number of fans it says how many of your friends "like" the page and how many total people "like" the page.

I don't think this will have a major impact. People just have to "like" your page instead of becoming a fan.

ya i just saw this change on my fan page 5 minutes ago... wonder what the implications will be

Because it's new. I find it interesting ;)
I think it's easier for people to click 'Like' instead 'Become a Fan' althought it does not change anything.
Now people can see how many friends of them like the page, which will lead them to click 'Like' as well. ;)


Why this is "the end" ? As far as I am aware, we still have the publishing option ?

now all we have to do is change the 1st step... click like, not become a fan lol
 
Yeah, I just noticed it on mine pages.
I don't see the reason of that change, it probably won't change anything.
 
we can still send updates to everyone that clicked like right??? I think more people will click like than become a fan.. they are already used to doing it for their friends pics and comments..
 
only difference I see is that ya cant "see all" the people who like the page like you were able to view all the fans
 
anyone mind sharing their "like this" step 1 image too lazy lol xD
 
Pros: none you can still add people and do statuses.
Cons: no messaging all members

Good thing I kept my group as well as my fan page, I can still direct message all of my group members at least. ;)

you guys should go read the official facebook blog post about this. There are other interesting changes going on as well. For example, fan (or should I say 'like'?) pages will now be "suggested" to you based on your interests, which means there _could_ be an "SEO" quality to getting your pages to show up more often, attracting new "likes".

Doesnt seem like too big of a change at all really, just makes me wonder what else they're going to feel like altering.
 
i hate the fact that you can't view all your fans anymore!It was useful to see who became your fan!
