I'm making my first niche site and i've found forums are an awesome source for info that injects natural language/tone of the niche into my writing. I try to paraphrase what is said and write it in my own way, but sometimes they just say such perfect things on the forum that i might have 4 or 5 of their words in a row.

Is this amount of copying picked up by copyscape stuff?
Can google tell if you copy a little from forums?

its perfectly fine to use, half of the web is duplicate content and thats no problem (even according to google). copyscape is useless unless you use it for its real purpose, to find copyrighted material that is used elsewhere. however google doesn't care at all about copyscape. a few copied words or even sentences doesn't hurt at all ! as long as you don't copy a site 1:1 you will be fine.

I would say utilizing forums is fine for inspiration, but I would definitely recommend investing time into writing unique and quality content. The results will follow.
