I keep making threads about tools because... I'm addicted to software. No idea why but it's my biggest vice, I'm always looking for better tools to buy to improve workflow and productivity (sometimes at the expense of one or both). I've talked about AI content tools a fair bit, but here are a few others that are currently on the market that provide access to some valuable data at a one-off cost that can help you with useful data to plan and execute your marketing.
BuzzSumo Data
To get BuzzSumo Insights, grab a code of WriterAccess off of AppSumo for $49 (you only need Tier 1 to have access to this data). It pulls relevant articles for the keywords you provide and gives you shares and data you can sort on, including total shares, facebook, twitter, pinterest, reddit, linked domains, and evergreen score.
This data can give you inspiration and ideas for relevant content that gets a lot of engagement, shares, and backlinks - pretty helpful for fleshing out content strategies.
It's got some other handy tools as well - the content writer part (the main purpose of the service) is a bit expensive, but may be handy if you have a large content marketing budget and are looking for high quality articles that you don't want to create yourself (or with the help of AI).
Ahrefs Search Volume Data
WriterZen is another tool currently available on AppSumo that provides expensive data for a one-off cost: search volume data from Ahrefs. You can grab a code for $69 and the limits are pretty generous. 70 monthly content briefs, 50 topic lookups per day, 250 keyword lookups per day, 100k monthly allintitle (KGR) lookups, 100k monthly keyword clustering, and a solid amount of daily plagiarism checking.
WriterZen is lacking some useful information such as competition scores (aside from KGR analysis), but the dev has mentioned they're looking into adding more data from Ahrefs which should be included in the lifetime plan.
Disclaimer
Since these are 3rd party tools pulling data from expensive services (BuzzSumo & Ahrefs aren't exactly cheap) there's always a chance they will change/impose limits or change data providers, so that's a risk you'd have to take - keep that in mind when looking into these tools. They do have a 60 day return policy so if anything is changed during the refund window you can always get your money back.
Hopefully a few members find these tools useful!
