Let's Talk About AdSense Update [2024]

To be honest, the Ad-sense network of blogs we used is not generating the income it did, like 2-3 years ago.
Their approval process has been tightening up, and we decided to ditch some of the ad-sense projects as the earned incomes were not released.

This shift can actually be good news.

If you know how to format your posts correctly and you know how to strategically interlink, you can turn one page view into many different page views.

This change in policy by AdSense actually pushes publishers to produce more engaging content that people would stick around for.

Even if they don't click, the more pages they view, the more money you get in your bank account at the end of the day.

It does take a shift in mindset as well as matching publication strategies, but it can be done.

Google has only pushed updates for their publishers not for advertisers. It means all those money that you make them from clicks now directly goes in to AdSense pocket.

Can anyone confirm if this is true? My plan was to drive traffic from Instagram to my website i have a couple thousand followers

I've seen maybe 1-2 posts about this on reddit but I'm still looking for more information

1. CPM only but if you enable Search ads, its CPC, but final payout is converted to CPM.
2. Yes you can .
3. Depends on niche. My avg is $4-$5 CPM.
5. Yes, true for tier-3 countries like Asia, South American, African, etc its $0.40 to $0.60 (from my stats)
6. $7 to $10 for North America. but again that depends on niche.

true. Even with ADX partner your max CPM will be 3x or 4x for your current Adsense CPM which can be around $18-$20 and its not $40 even if you are running a big media or tech site like CNN or TechCrunch or ecommerce. But yes, with ADX cpm does rise.

Then I'll answer this too, if I may.

1. Pays for clicks on CSE and some other types of ads. All others (banners, vignette, side, anchor, etc.) became paid by CPM. Clicks on them are counted in the statistics, but are not paid by CPC system as before.
2. Yes, if you make clicks yourself, or if your block has tier1 traffic. All other options, as written above, will bring you a very low CPM.
3. The price depends very much on geo (tier1 is many times more expensive than tier3) and ending with the theme. On average from 0.7-1$ CPM on terrible tier3, to 30-40$ CPM on tier1.
4. Yes. Under certain conditions (theme and lack of advertising offers in tier3), but this is more of an exception to the rule.
5. As already written above - it all depends a lot on what you work with. If you are working with the fact that you are making clicks yourself (with the right selection and strategy), the CPM is naturally higher (screenshot #1), if you are working with automatic clicks, or if the account is fresh and you are just starting (or a good theme on a new account), then as in the second screenshot.
The more and better you work - the faster you break through the limits of the system in CPC levels.
