The idea of this thread is to show the traffic of your website(s) and any other visual information you would like to share (e.g. backlinks graph, ranking graph) and talk through it why you think it went up or down in terms of (new) tactics, etc.
This would be great for beginners to see what works and what doesn't but also for experienced online marketers to pick any tips they haven't incorporated yet.
I'll start:
This is a website that I started in May, 2016. The traffic graph starts from 26th of October and shows the user count, which is significantly lower than the session or pageview count. I show it from 26th of October because that is when I added the website to Google Analytics.
As you can see, the user traffic has been kind of lingering in the same position from November throughout January. This is because I decided to started publishing much more content from January onwards as part of a 2017 journey. I publish two types of content:
1) Articles in list from targeting low to medium competition keywords (with search volume xxx) discussed in my other thread here: A Short Guide on how I do my SEO and backlinks cost-effectively
I try to add around 1 or 2 x 2500 words articles per week. It is usually well researched with many pictures.
2) I add many pages (around 10 a day) that target keywords that I know will get some kind of traffic, but it usually has only a xx search volume. The plus side is that these pages do not require any research and can be published in 15 minutes.
Here is another graph that shows that I have not been building any backlinks (nor any hidden backlinks because I prefer white-hat SEO over black-hat SEO).
