Let's plays still worth it?

I was wondering about some content I could upload to youtube.
I enjoy moviemaking but the stuff I put work into barely gets any views so I thought I might try creating some gameplay videos? Does anybody do this? Can I still get successful?
I could upload daily at very high quality.

Or has this ship sailed..?

I think, if you content is fire and if you upload daily, it will be a bit easier, but it is still really really hard for small users to get big!

Once you have reached one certain amount, it will be easier to grow, but it gets harder and harder, since there are more and more people doing the same.

Be unique and do, what others are not doing and you will get what others wish to get.
