Let's Get This!

I have yet to see a "method" outdated here which was of absolutely no use at all if you try to turned it into a serious idea.

the term "method" by itself is outdated so it's the mentality which is wrong.

method = trying something without the intent of creating a real business and chasing cheap bucks... so yes it's highly probable it fails.
here is one : adsense and trust me the list is long, people who comment that it's not about the method but the skills of the person implementing it are just helping these sellers.
i give enough time to every course or method i buy and some of them work and some don't.
When you buy a course called "Earn Up To $500/daily With Adult Traffic" is not like when you buy a course about facebook ads, one is promising income and the other is teaching you a skill.

Yeah, it's why people should only focus on learning the skill instead of chasing the promising income but I understand what you say and appreciate the effort you do in reviewing it.

I am not at all helping these sellers, in fact I am opposed to everything related to "promising income" like you say... "promising skill" is different.

-Analytics section but not sure it will be active enough, with a more advanced optimisation mindset about KPI's for GTM and GA.

-Funnel building section with best practice which will make people share their upsell, downsell, cross sell strategies to increase AOV.

-CRO section with best practice on AB testing through the conversion funnel.

-Retargeting deserves a category of its own...
Escrow system, Real Life meetings and the ability to have a review section for all marketplace threads.
I stand behind these

Got what I need. I would be more happy if it was more crypto friendly however, I can understand that this might attract a lot of bad players so it should be rather avoided.

also, I am happy with the new marketplace strict policies in place; it make me more confidence to purchase more services on the forum. Great job.

I guess it was due to my recent post in the other thread.

These are only the personal points I see my flaws in and need to become better at, I don't get this here and have to go search elsewhere but I understand it's more advanced as a request.
i like these. it would also be interesting to see a list of common best practices around these. or simple guiding rules. like what ubications for buttons tend to convert more, or where is good to place the cart, etc etc, applicable stuff like that. you can more or less guess some of that by copying the big boys, but it would still be a good resource.

i would personally recommend:

-a world events/trends section. we could keep each other up to date with stuff that's happening and may become a good niche for someone. for example, most folks here probably dont know a nintendo direct about xenoblade 3 (super duper popular, long time awaited japanese rpg) was just announced for the 22 this month. a more general nintendo direct may or may not follow after that, rumors say that it will be the 29. prime time to sell, idk, t-shirts? repost rumors as medium articles? i wont be doing anything with this info, but someone else may. also, new pokemon game is coming out this year and looks different to the previous ones, new splatoon game may come out this year, all for the switch (most popular console currently), all super popular shit. nintendo has some rabid, cash-shelling fans in a way PlayStation and Xbox don't.

-i wont ask for the methods in the marketplace to be tested, but mods have been around for years now and know their stuff. i am sure most of them could give an educated opinion on a method without having to put it into practice. doesn't need to be a conclusive opinion and i wont ask them to say something is shit even if its shit, a simple "this is a rather creative twist to a well know method" or "this is mostly info publicly available, but well organized and explained" would go a long way. i won't ask anything complicated or detailed, and sometimes the mod may not have anything to say and thats ok, just every now and then, a little more than the usual "you may get fucked" disclaimer. if you dont want to say anything negative, just highlight what you think is the best part.
adding to this, a way to filter out of the sales threads the comments that arent questions or reviews ("DM discount please" chains that cover entire pages) would make comparing products much easier. is ridiculous how hard its to find the meat in the comments among all those "DM discount please" comments.
another suggestion, when someone asks a question in a sales thread, make it an obligation to make the answer public as a general rule. i shouldn't have to ask what someone else already asked. we would all win by doing it this way, probably even the seller.

-edit: dear me, how could i forget about the secret fish subforum?

I am not going to write the same you did so, instead, I just quote you and share the spotlight with you.

Not at all, all good over here.

Great, always nice to see you around :)

Keep the cards and letters coming as to how we can serve you better please.

I think the two biggest things for me would be:

  • Better organization and separation of services within the marketplace
    • It'd be nice to see just guest post providers or PBN providers, etc. or maybe ebook/methods, Idk.
  • The rating system for BST
    • A star rating and overall review count like ECOM sites, etc. use would be useful, although it'd be easy to game, so having verified purchasers leave reviews would be better. Obv. a tough one to implement I guess.
    • It's hard to gauge the overall reception of a service; likes aren't that great to see overall satisfaction with a service. Also, many services have been around for ages, so it's hard to tell the freshness of those. I also put a lot more weight on reviews if they come from certain members/ranks here on the forum, as I trust them more than random users.

Oh actually most important of all - KYC checks for sellers to prove their country of residency so I can pay them what they should be paid for their city or country and not extortionate amounts that would get you sued or fined in any other industry for unfair pricing.

Marketplace 2.0 will have KYC as part of the new and improved features.
