I guess it was due to my recent post in the other thread.
-Analytics section but not sure it will be active enough, with a more advanced optimisation mindset about KPI's for GTM and GA.
-Funnel building section with best practice which will make people share their upsell, downsell, cross sell strategies to increase AOV.
-CRO section with best practice on AB testing through the conversion funnel.
-Retargeting deserves a category of its own...
These are only the personal points I see my flaws in and need to become better at, I don't get this here and have to go search elsewhere but I understand it's more advanced as a request.
i like these. it would also be interesting to see a list of common best practices around these. or simple guiding rules. like what ubications for buttons tend to convert more, or where is good to place the cart, etc etc, applicable stuff like that. you can more or less guess some of that by copying the big boys, but it would still be a good resource.
i would personally recommend:
-a world events/trends section. we could keep each other up to date with stuff that's happening and may become a good niche for someone. for example, most folks here probably dont know a nintendo direct about xenoblade 3 (super duper popular, long time awaited japanese rpg) was just announced for the 22 this month. a more general nintendo direct may or may not follow after that, rumors say that it will be the 29. prime time to sell, idk, t-shirts? repost rumors as medium articles? i wont be doing anything with this info, but someone else may. also, new pokemon game is coming out this year and looks different to the previous ones, new splatoon game may come out this year, all for the switch (most popular console currently), all super popular shit. nintendo has some rabid, cash-shelling fans in a way PlayStation and Xbox don't.
-i wont ask for the methods in the marketplace to be tested, but mods have been around for years now and know their stuff. i am sure most of them could give an educated opinion on a method without having to put it into practice. doesn't need to be a conclusive opinion and i wont ask them to say something is shit even if its shit, a simple "this is a rather creative twist to a well know method" or "this is mostly info publicly available, but well organized and explained" would go a long way. i won't ask anything complicated or detailed, and sometimes the mod may not have anything to say and thats ok, just every now and then, a little more than the usual "you may get fucked" disclaimer. if you dont want to say anything negative, just highlight what you think is the best part.
adding to this, a way to filter out of the sales threads the comments that arent questions or reviews ("DM discount please" chains that cover entire pages) would make comparing products much easier. is ridiculous how hard its to find the meat in the comments among all those "DM discount please" comments.
another suggestion, when someone asks a question in a sales thread, make it an obligation to make the answer public as a general rule. i shouldn't have to ask what someone else already asked. we would all win by doing it this way, probably even the seller.
-edit: dear me, how could i forget about the secret fish subforum?
