Hello BHW friends, Just wondering if should I go take a course that is worth $200 or should I buy a $100 worth software/things that can help me startup freelancing. I am terribly confused. Sorry about my noob question I am just confused. What should I take? Thank you.

Why do you need a software to start freelancing. What work would you like to do? You can get clients anywhere even here in BHW.

Freelancing, learn new things, test methods, build capital, then pay a course...

Any online course is nothing then an amount of information put in a nicely pdf. Any software who will not bring you money will not worth also.
Keep the money or invest in something good as a domain, hosting and start doing a blog.

Without being rude but if you lay on just 200 think twice.

Been there done that! :)

He's right. Read BHW journeys here, find something that you think you can do and spend the $100 with hosting and blog and learn from your own mistakes. You can also find a mentor and work for free for a few hours a week, just make sure that he/she is not taking advantage of you. You can also offer your VA service to where you think you will gain more experience.

Thank you for this wise advice. Will definitely think it twice. Blog? I don't have any particular idea on that but I will try searching and download some free courses about that suggestion.

Do you like to see art? Do an art blog
Do you like to wank? ... Do a porn blog :D

Ohhh... I get it now. Is it supposed to be one category only or is it okay to be versatile?

There are folks out there that pull off throwing together a bunch of topics, but it's rare.

Imagine you have two people you can talk to at a party. One guy is explaining, idk, how he just went on vacation to Europe and is describing the beauty, the culture, the sounds, etc.

The other guy quickly states "I've been there, it's beautiful! Did you know that Europe's been in a few wars? So has America! Did you know, in America, 100 acres of pizza are served in the US every day (true story)? I like pizza. Did you know pepperoni is the most popular pizza?"

With the first guy, you know what he's talking about and won't get lost in a well of confusion. The second guy would be exhausting trying to get any meaningful information from. Blogs work the same way. People will get frustrated if there are too many topics and will just assume you only know a little bit of a lot rather than a lot about a little bit lowering your influence and authority. Start with one topic and if you need to get other information out, wait until site #1 is established and smoothed out and start niche number two when you can dedicate some good time to it.
