So to be clear you were using dedicated server with single disk? In raid-0?
And were you not monitoring drive health?
You sir, you have got balls of steel.
I have like 3 copies of backups which are taken daily. This allows me to sleep peacefully.![]()
Thank you for writing such a detailed and useful reply. It will not only help OP but for other community members too. Really appreciate your efforts.Bro, don't worry, a bit of work, but you can recover them all, but make sure you do it asap. If you make any delays, you'll really lose all.
One way that most will tell is to use archive.org, which I will recommend as the last resort. What I will recommend is -
1. Go to google, type site:your_site
2. Now, the google URL will appear like - https://www.google.com/search?q=site%(blah blah)
3. Add "num=100&" after the "search?" Like this https://www.google.com/search?num=100&q=site%(blah blah)
4. The above method will show 100 pages at once. Open a spreadsheet, copy all the URLs there.
5. Then go to each URL and pre-add "cache:" before each URL.
6. For example "cache:https://xyz.com" It basically shows the cache saved by google the last time it visited your site.
7. Do CMD + P or CTRL + P and continue saving each page on your Desktop and later when all sites are copied. Do copy-pasting all the content.
8. The reason you don't publish sooner is that as google tries to visit more and more URLs of yours, it may start saving the 404 or other pages, so act now.
If however, you couldn't find a particular page this way, go to archive.org and try to search.
Best of luck.
And sorry for bad English.
My pleasure, i hope he did followed my methodThank you for writing such a detailed and useful reply. It will not only help OP but for other community members too. Really appreciate your efforts.
@Fardin2012 Really sorry to hear about your plight. Indeed a big lesson learnt with high price. Indeed it is quite essential to take regular backups of our data. Hope you will get your sites restored soon. All the best mate!
I know what it feels like. Still I am very dissapiointed cause I lost everything from my 4T hdd, I formated accidentally. I havent got any sucess with recovery programs. Can anyone suggest me some good recovery program, cause i still have hope? Thanks to all, your tips helped me alot, within last few days I able to restore 5 sites. I installed a new dedicated server with raid 1 and created offsite autobackup to 2 different location (wasabi and a storage box from hetzner). I dont think I can restore my PAA sites becasue I dont found enough data on webarchive or in google cache
