I have two clients complaining that recently they lost 10+ legitimate Google reviews, but the rating stayed the same. These are clients with 100+ reviews, and average scores of 4.8 that exist for 10+ years.
The GBP for our own agency also experienced situations where the clients sent us a screenshot of the positive review they created for us, but the reviews never actually got published.
I've seen online that this issue has become global and that Google is working on the fix, but I doubt anything fruitful will come out of it. It seems that Google is actively preferring some businesses compared to others without clear pattern or logic.
Does anyone have any recommendations or advice how to move forward?
