Legal Advice. Please HELP!

My first post..

I have an LLC for booking and promoting artists in the states. It's TOTALLY whitehat. Is it ok to give my affiliates the name of my LLC when signing up for CPA offers and such?

I plan on spamming emails, tweeting misc. bullshit PPC, dollar here dollar there. I'm just afraid of the name being affiliated.. Also, should I give my real name on the cheque? Real address? I'm totally lost. Please help me stay safe. I don't mind paying taxes; I wanna look legit. I'm just worried about going to jail for Email Spamming and I don't want my whitehat business name to be connected to the other venues for making money. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!!

CPA networks aren't going to care about having an LLC or not, they want to see your ability to push a lot of traffic to their offers. If I were you I'd leave the business out of it. Also about spamming I'd be more worried about violating the CPA networks rules rather than going to jail, as I'm sure only the big wigs even get investigated

Is scraping emails from craigslist effective?? I'm thinking of scraping emails + tweeting, and having a landing page with a php script to blank the referrer. Please tell me if I'm missing something.

Also, what is the purpose of shortening URLs? Is this to save space within social network input boxes or are URL shorteners used with another purpose in mind? When would it be effective. Sorry if these things have been discussed in the past in another form. I'm not yet familiar with how forums work and would be willing to read any references to my questions to save you guys the trouble of typing. That is, if you would be so kind as to provide a link. Thanks for baring with my noob ass.

about the ging to jail thing.. im worried about that myself, can anyone give me some relief here?

I thought most spam-related problems were civil, not criminal. If civil, then no jail time (just $$$ for damages).
