1. do we need a real web to test SEO for both whitehat and blackhat?
2. wheres the different between legal and illegal website for SEO?
3. if legal website focus on building their main website or domain, does illegal website also do that or theres others way?
4. if our website got banned from google, thats mean we need to start the web from the start right? or we can just change the domain?

can you define on what you mean when you say an illegal website?

If you are a totally beginner. Then you can first learn from YouTube, udemy and then come back to bhw.

totally agree on this. BHW is not a place to start from scratch. Suggest to watch seofightclub on youtube. Also take a look at Matt Diggity website. BHW is great for answering your particular questions.

also, another good approach to learn is to reverse engineer top sites in gambling. understand their seo strategy and do it better.

i just hope you aint want to get ranked in US for gambling

On Youtube you'll find a lot of useful materials. I wish you good luck in your searching! Don't forget that you can find any answer or advice here ASAP!

Youtube is a great resource for beginners and latest developments but actually people will be surprised that many basics have not changed fundamentally and books like SEO for Dummies are worth a read too.

Learning from YouTube is a good way to go. It will later then recommend you other similar channels. But often you end up in a dilemma after watching so many videos. I have been there.

Another resource that I would recommend which I found lately very useful for beginners and intermediate SEO is UnderWP. Search for "underwp google seo course" on Google and you will find them on top. Not sure if mods here will like it if I share the link.

Not related to them in any way. Just found them recently and it Is easy to have a one-page list with all the learning resources.

P.S. If mods do not like me to talk about other websites here, please feel free to remove or edit this post.

I would suggest you to start learning the basics from youtube videos, or some websites. Later on explore deep into the subtopics of SEO. Learn off-page and on-page strategies. Learn about doing keyword research, site analysis and competitive analysis using tools. Gain some practical experience too!
Happy learning!

First get started with white hat , mostly content , content is the key for new sites and some social sharing would do the work ! then get going when the site get aged with black hat !

This might help you to start with.

Essentially, you start with keyword research. With a keyword that has a good amount of search volume (smaller search volume keywords are good as buyers keywords, though. If you're selling a specific product).

After that is generally competition analysis. Figuring out if those keywords can be ranked for easily or if it'll take more effort.

After you figure out those things, you can buy a domain, and start working on the content.

This is a ROUGH outline, but is a good starting point.

I wrote this thread a few years ago that has a little more depth: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/guide-tutorials-a-short-beginners-guide-to-blackhat-seo.1134018/
