Here is something I have been wondering about:
For those of you that have learned English as a second language later in life (not as a child) how long was it before English started sounding more like words you could actually understand and less like gibberish? I am just getting to the point right now where I am beginning to hear the separate words instead of a steady stream of gibberish noise.
As a side note I would be happy to help others improve their English skills, I would welcome any discussions about language in general actually. The topic has always held a great interest to me.
I've started to learn english when I was 6 or 7 and stopped at the age of 12-13. Since then I didn't pass any course. So, you can see my skills now, and it's up to you to decide - whether it's good or not.
If you want a lot of russian cartoons or tv-shows you can visit yt, or russian torrent (where are really tons of tvshows).
