Lead Channel gives Fname/L-initial Zip Code, Script to Automate?

    First time caller, long time listener to BHW.

    I am buying leads for my business from a broker. I am looking to automate my research on these leads using the basic data provided in the preview list.

    Let me explain the situation:

    • Led source generates very high-quality leads, ready to buy now.

    • The lead broker sells these hot by "previewing" the needs of the lead -- providing the First Name, Last Initial, and Zip Code for each lead. Each "hot leads preview" is available for 2 hours, or until someone buys that particular list.
    • Price = $700 for 100 qualified leads. Closed sales average $80 from this broker's leads or $1200 from 15 closed sales. I'm making a profit, but its tiny after paying for the lead/overhead. Previews are true to the leads purchased, I know it's 100% real actionable data. I've bought 4 lists and closed on average, 15 sales per list.

    Frustrated, I tried using a reverse lookup of a few of the leads from their teaser list. I turned up several successful results in my reverse lookup search. Very time consuming.

    Is there a way to automate this research?

    I highly doubt it is realistic to try and find the person from the first name, last initial, and zip.

    May make more sense to find another lead source?

    What type of leads?

    What are you selling?

    How many leads did you purchase/price and how many sales/profit?

    I'm guessing that you don't have a backend?

    You know, until I used Spokeo and reverse lookup to see for myself, I doubted finding the correct person from the lead list.

    After trying it.... How many Nasir B's or Lakshmi S. can there be in Olympia? Not many. The reverse lookups from the "preview list" (corresponding to the list I bought) got 90% of the more ethnic names/zip matches on the first search. More Anglo names not so much -- Sarah S. , Emma B, John L.... multiple possibilities in the same zip code. On the other hand, why not reach out to BOTH Emma B's in Seattle? It's like, yeah, I am losing a little bit of time on reaching out to 1 of the two Emma B's. But not enough time to make call it a "waste".
    I'm actively looking for another lead source.
    Buying from a real estate lead broker, qualified leads who are considering selling and making improvements before the sale. Business sells gutter/drain cleaning.
    Bought 300 leads at a cost of ~$1700. To date, commissions from closed sales total just over $3900, netting $2200 to date.

    It's an Upwork commission-based gig where I get $80 commission from each closed sale/paid appointment. The client gave me a stagnant list of 600 leads (4 closed sales after cycling through those), and I decided to go another route in buying leads from a real estate lead broker. It's much more costly per lead, but I have made more $$ from this list than the one the client provided. Mostly single family homes over 2500 sq ft. with gutters. Went for real estate lead brokerage, since sellers are more likely to get this service.

    What are the sites that you want to use for the search?

    What are the steps?

    How are you going to enter the info in that needs to be searched?

    I could give you a quote on building it.

    You could also post something on upwork, freelancer, etc... and get quotes on the project. Might be able to get it cheaper from someone that is hungry for work.

    One problem that you may have is if something changes on the site and breaks the program and then you need to update it. So you will need someone that you will be able to rely on to fix as needed.

    Step 1: copy Fname, L -initial, zip code
    Step 2: go to a reliable reverse lookup like AnyWho
    Step 3: find address, phone, email information
    Step 4: copy to (any spreadsheet, Excel, Google Docs, TXT or CSV file.)
