My apartment was burglarized and my laptop stolen this weekend along with a TON of other possessions. I had http://www.logmein.com installed on it, so that offers a glimmer of hope for recovering my things I'm thinking. I've been monitoring the laptop, and the next time it comes online I'll then have the thief's IP address. But this may not be enough to catch this guy. I might need to collect more information, such as his email, name, etc. I could theoretically remotely watch him use the computer, and wait for him to fill out a form or check his email or something, but that could take a while, and also Logmein would notify him that he's being watched! So that would give me away, and that's not a preference I can turn off. So I'm thinking that wouldn't work so well. It would be preferable to just transfer and execute a script on his computer that logs his keystrokes as well as IP address and maybe any other relevant info, and would then email this info back to me. Is there a program anyone can recommend to do this? Or any other advice someone can offer in this situation. I really want my computer back!!! Thanks.
