Laptop or desktop?

Ey guys! I'm upgrading my work station, and a new computer is needed.
Do you guys recommend a desktop or laptop?
(btw, I'm a student)

if uu can affrod both that will be better, if not then it depends on your needs!
 
If you work long hour and if you do regular hardware update then desktop is best option otherwise laptop.
 
It depends, if you just use it inside of your house go for a desktop, you can get more for less
 
A laptop is going to be portable, which may come in handy due to you being in school, but they don't last nearly as long as desktops.
I haven't had a laptop last more then 3 years in a long time, meanwhile, my desktop has chugged along for 7 years now with no end in sight.

Only you can decide which is better for your personal needs.
 
laptop , if you move a lot
desktop if you like to be in home
 
If you need mobility, go for a laptop if not, go for a pc, it's cheaper and has better performance
 
Laptop is for light browsing and skype. If you are planning some work with PC, then go with Desktop
 
Since you are a student, I think it would be better if you go for a laptop, as you can carry your laptop for making presentations, etc. And a laptop's life is 4 to 5 years, so perhaps you may even start your job career with the same laptop.
 
if you need power: desktop
if you need portability: laptop
if you need power, portability and to be a very cool person with greater inherent worth than other people: macbook
 
What work you will do with it?
If you are going to render videos, desk.
if you will be using wordpress, email and basic stuff, laptop

why macbook when most used software dont exist on ios, only use macbook when uu r looking for more securty,

Parallels changes that now as for a few dollars you can run windows based software on your Mac.
