Kickstarter Project - What should I do?

Sorry but this is a total fail. The smart thing to do would have been to reach out to every vegan website/blogger humanly possible and offer them a free sample of your product, then see (assuming they liked it) if they could link to your kickstarter. The second fail is your slideshow video. You have to sell it a bit more than that, especially since it's food. It doesnt really look that appetizing. People want to help out someone they can make a connection with, get some feelings, not a fucking slide show. I can promise you a 100x over, the most successful kickstarter campaigns didn't throw their kickstarter up there without a plan. Too many people think they have some amazing product that's going to go viral like wildfire. Reality is, odds of going viral is like winning the lottery, and if you have absolutely no plan, the odds are like winning the lottery and being struck by lightning in the same day.

Hey jon...thanks for the long answer...the truth is that we wrote to many vegan blogs but didnt get any answers. that was our main problem.

and yeah mate. you are right with the video. will do another one soon. we arent really professional in making videos but maybe i will find someone helping me with it.

what about the pr release? how can i submit it to news sites?

News sites really won't care. But you can try one of the services in the marketplace and hope someone picks it up.
You wrote 'many' but I'm willing to bet not really that many. I was talking a couple hundred, plus anyone and everyone on twitter.
Join forums, get active in forums. You're talking about your reddit acccount shadowbanned, you should have been on reddit six months ago getting involved, and every other forum you can think of. Build a rep in forums, then offer samples to members, even if you lose a couple hundred dollars. If your product is really good, people will start talking.
Your pitch to the blogs was probably poor and generic as well. It's not writing a mass mail and thinking people are going to eat it up and want to promote your product. They received a dozen or two emails like this a day, so you have to be different. Honestly, I love food, so maybe I'm different then the average blogger, but if I had a blog and and someone was offering a free sample of candy, I'd take that offer up in a second.
Look at some of the top ones on kickstarter, look at their videos. It doesn't have to be professional, but make it personal. Let the people get to know you. Honestly it might be too late already. Like someone above said, you have to have people ready to donate as soon as you kick it off. People are sheep, they'll donate just because other people donate. If they see a bunch of people donate, they'll simply donate because it's the 'cool' thing to do. It's sad, but it's true.

I didn't mean to be a dick in my messages, but the lack of preparation in this project really bothers me. This is something that could change your life forever, and seems like little effort went into it.

Hey Jon.

You are right. We didn't wrote to hundreds of blogs. It really seems like we didn't put much effort in it, but we honestly did everything we could. We don't know really anything about this kind of stuff. Only less things we found online.

This campaign is really important for us. I mean, we want to start this business to finance our studies with it. My siblings are studying medicine and i'm studying mechanical engineering. So we don't have any experience in online marketing.

I wish, we had asked the question much early. The campaign would be clearly more successfull.

We really need every help we can get. Even if you guys only have one dollar to spare or only want to share the campaign on facebook.

Every help is appreciated. :)

All the more reason to hire a professional that can help you. Jon was 100% straight up in what he said above. Coming on BHW and begging for a dollar or to have your deal shared for free is not the way to go when you have what is potentially a life changing opportunity.

If it is me, I'm rebooting 100%.

I'm going back to renaming the product, hiring or joint venturing with someone that knows how to get this started off on the right foot with the proper branding, exposure, press, a top of the line quality video for your KS campaign... the whole 9 yards.

You are a product creator and that is good; you are not a promoter or business person and you need one in your group to be successful and not finding one to join up with you will be a real detriment to your success.

alright okay. we will try this campaign now. if it doesnt work we will rebrand and try it with someone professional.

thank you all

Stop while you are ahead because you'll be branded as someone who doesn't do the due diligence of their product. Cancel right now and start completely fresh.

It's no use he clearly has been told everything he did wrong in detail, if he still wants to go through with it, it may be one of those cases where he has to fall flat on his face before he'll understand.
