@validseo out of interest, have you done a correlation for sites with keywords meta tag in bing?
My tools only measure Google so unfortunately I have no data in terms of Bing... if Bing could just get 10-15% more marketshare it would help a lot. I hope they get more aggressive soon. They seem to have lost all of their fight. All they have to do is fundamentally reject Google's culture of penalties and they could easily take a big slice of the market.
I frequently see meta keywords correlating for ecommerce keywords. In this particular study it did not correlate:
But when you switch to a search term like "used cars" you get a very different outcome:
I often suspect that "industry beliefs" in SEO mess up SEO.
