ok so I'm learning about keyword research, SEO for money site, but little confused, I found a keyword ( informative, not product-related) which has the monthly search of 2000-5000 ( locally ) and CPC of $1-3, but KD is different on all tools I tried like, Ubersuggest, kwfinder, Moz, Semrush trial, so how to find low KD keyword out of this? any beginners guide will be helpful, thanks

every tool has different algorithm but if you get lower atleast two mean, you an try this out. By the way how you have the access to all tools.

The tools are for information only. They don't give accurate data. You need to manually check for important keywords to see if there are any low authority sites ranking. What is visible in SERPs is the real KD.

I personally use a combination of Ubersuggest plus checking onsite metric like allintitle:. allinmeta and allinurl. So you know how many people are actually targeting the keyword you wish to rank. Sometimes you might found some keywords that are poorly targeted and some website are ranking there just because their authority and depending on the vertical you might be able to outrank them easily.

Perform a search using the seed kw
Open up few questions that pop up in PAA tab
Now, open all of them in separate tabs
See if there's any low authority site ranking in the first 10 spots
Plug them into Ahrefs to see what kws they're ranking for
That's the kw you should go for.

Have a look at the top 20 pages to see what they look like, and their strategy, and examine them on ahrefs or semrush.
Look at their backlinks. Make a list like this with loads of keywords, and soon you'll get a better feel for estimating difficulty with the comparison.

thanks all, one more question, I understand higher authority is difficult to outrank, but what is max no. authority any new site can outrank?
