I been building an authority website monetizing with adsen$e and my on page seo alone has this keyword ranked 42 on the big G. According to Long tail pro the competitiveness is 27 and has yahoo answers, youtube and a edu website on the top 10. I have not build links to this inner page and was wondering what would be your plan of action as far as building links to get it in the top 10? Also, if I hire someone how long SHOULD this take for a low comp. keyword. Thank you

Like you said, Long Tail keyword with low competition. You can expect it soon and please keep in mind, The inner pages you wanted to rank on Google should be indexed by search engines first. Make sure it has no duplication in any way.

It depends on your domain authority and site age. For reputable sites they rank almost immediately. For newer sites it can take anywhere from a week to months, it depends.

If you site is new but your article is properly optimized you might end up on page 1 in the next few months without doing anything.

Are you doing internal linking because that can sometimes give your pages a boost.

Have you started building link to the rest of the site - you don't want the majority of your links going to an internal page.

A low competition keyword should rank pretty easily with a bunch of tier one web 2.0 links and some relevant blog comments.

Yes, I building links to just my inner pages which I have a lot of post. Should I buy web 2.0 and use relevant blog comments as tier 2 for web 2.0 or use both as tier 1? Thanks

If everything is done properly; It takes around 15-45 days to rank long tail keyword.

Interlink from your best performing pages and make sure your on page optimization is prefect

This might be enough to get you to the first page. Few Web 2.0 will push you up

I would definitely be building backlinks to the root domain as well, not just the inner pages.

Blog comments can be tier 1 or 2. If you've got good quality, relevant blogs that you can comment on I would use them as tier 1. If they're not as relevant then maybe use them as tier 2.

I usually use The Hoth to do my web 2.0's but after having a proper look here on BHW I've found some services I think maybe will be better value for the future.

If you feel the traffic and income is worth it you could just build PBN links straight to that page. That should juice it up no problem. You could also buy links off of donor pages or any other high authority sites. If your site is properly aged you could rank on the first page within a couple of weeks.
