There is nothing inherently wrong with paying for sexual gratification. Whether payment is a direct monetary trade, a transaction with a toy production company, an expensive dinner date, or through labor and other physical means, there is almost always some form of paying going on in exchange for sex. Sex is rarely given purely for the pleasure of both parties, and most people who do consider the sex itself as payment, are the ones actually looked down upon by society. Prostitution is factually linked to STD transmission, Theft, Drug Use, Assault and is illegal in most places, and this would be why it is normally seen as negative behavior.

I see no reason why anyone should be looked down upon for buying a Sex Aid, whether its a Doll, a Vibrator, a Fleshlight or anything else. It has nothing to do with having a lack of access to sex with real women, and I can see no reason why it would be thought of as weird or pathetic at all.
 
Let's stop acting like paying for sex is something weird. Our distant cousins do it too:

As a female, i wouldn't need anything like that, i would be interested in the opposite. however its quite true he gave TMI, a little teasing is fine, but some are really being nasty about it, quit all the bs acting like you are all a bunch of studs. a sex "aid" implies you need help as paying a hooker implies (for whatever reason) meeting someone who is naturally attracted to you is difficult achieve. (9 times out of 10 it's a confidence problem)

It may not be a direct link to not having access to sex with a real woman but once you have sex with a real woman why would you want an artificial plastic toy that can only mimic a small aspect of the experience you get with a real woman?

maybe weird and pathetic is a strong choice of words but it seems to me the guy is putting his money, time, and energy in the wrong direction.

I notice there is a lot of guys coming here starting threads lately talking about their problems with trying to pick up women. Just like their are a lot of guys complaining how they can't make a dime in IM and they create a thread about that....in other words: FACE YOUR REAL PROBLEMS AND DEAL WITH THEM.
