I would never ever try to encourage a guy to get into a relationship if they aren't 100% ready for it. Sex isn't just a game to most people, it has a lot of emotions involved. If you are just trying to get your rocks off, then masturbating and sex has the same basic results, but masturbating leaves a person with much less to worry about afterwards.

It is much better to assume the person DOES want a relationship, and avoid getting too involved, then to assume the opposite and end up hurting them. The worst you have to lose is missing out on sex. For the other person, the stakes are much higher.
