I just launched my local real estate search website a month ago. Right now I am getting about 15 hits a day according to my google analytics. If you search "yorkhomefinder" in yahoo my website comes up first. Most of my traffic comes from direct links that I sent out in emails or advertisements. My google organic traffic is very low. I get more hits from yahoo and bing right now.

I did a lot of research on SEO before creating the content for the site. I used a keyword research tool and found high volume low competition keywords. When I wrote the content I made sure my keyword density wasn't over kill. My goal was that the overall message of the content portrayed the message and not the individual words. I personally feel my local competition uses very poor and dated seo strategies. As far as I can tell they all keyword stuff and use poor quality bank links. Right now my google page rank is "?" When will I get a page rank and when I do can I expect an increase in traffic. Hands down it is obvious to me that my site is better than my local competition in every way, however google doesn't see that at this point in time. I plan on writing original content in my blog but if I am missing a big part I want to address that first. Any input would be great.

    thank you

You said you competitors are using "poor and dated seo strategies." That defines you know SEO, so after doing the onpage things you can start promoting your website by doing offpage activities.

Page rank depends on when Google updates PRs. It can take a few days, or a few months. You shouldn't worry too much about it.
