Just bought a Border Collie

Aaah, the “dog training” niche. It was always the go to when a guru wanted to demonstrate their SEO prowess instead of revealing their “MMO” tactics back in my first days of internet marketing circa 2010 - 2014!

Anyway, today, amongst all the Corona thrills and spills I just bought a Border Collie puppy who arrives as the newest addition to my family tomorrow!

Does anyone have any insights on how to get the best from this breed? He’ll be coming into a family consisting of an Internet Marketing guy, a stay at home mom, a 4yr old boy, 1yr old boy and 12yr old pug.

We have plenty of space and a lot of love to give the little guy.

I love an off topic thread, so if anyone has some advice to share on training or living with this breed I’d love to hear it! if you know your dogs or dominated the DT niche at some point, would love to hear those tips!

Plenty of exercise, they are usually toy motivated. Walk twice a day at least.

Use a prong or E collar or anything like that, I'll track you down and use them on you

12 year old pug... that little one has lived long for the breed.

We had one years ago that lived to about 10 or so.

Loved that little girl.

Never had a border collie. Have three retrievers though. Regardless, I wanna see pics when the puppy arrives.
