Just a tip on a great meditation

OP I have also been meditating since last couple of years (I follow methods mentioned in "Liber Null" & similar Grimoire guides) and yes, it feels great to have the chakras unlocked. I cannot freeze down a lake solid like you mentioned but I can alter some natural processes. I have tried things only a few times and most of the time, I succeeded but it needs to have a lot of patience and solitude. I beilive in the law of karma these days which keeps me away from conducting such acts to go against the will of nature.

OP which path do you follow? I am a solitary witch bdw.

Very cool man! By the way, the easiest way to increase your strength is to do energy work, etc... - for example blood washing, bone marrow packing, stuff like that (check out chi power stuff).

I'm not following any particular path, just going with what works at the moment. I'd say I lean more towards being a pranayamic yogi than anything else at the moment - solitary as well but I have met very good friends online that have helped me grow. Very nice to meet you!

Very nice to meet you too! Always wondered if there is any spiritual walker in BHW as well and today this thread is here!

OP it's all about your firmness to hold your willpower in confront to anything literally along with the act of motionless both in mind & body.

Try to focus on gathering energy in one of your chakras one fine day and let me know how does it feel! It will be the best inner cleanse you will have!

Absolutely 100% agree with you man. By the way, I actually did try to concentrate energy into swadhistana and manipura, check this out: I started getting waves of ice and heat radiating out of my stomach/belly button. It felt like ice coming inside, then a heat wave going out. So, so cool, I'd never ever felt anything like that. It was like my manipura chakra was breathing or something.

I'm actually going to now try to work on my heart + throat chakras and putting energy there/stimulating it.

Now, the main reason I'm doing meditation isn't for "enlightenment" (even though that'll probably happen)
It won't. What will happen, is you'll read a few books about 'enlightenment' and then try to convince yourself you've achieved it.

Now, I have done that type of void meditation before, actually I've done it for over 5 hours in a day for a while before so I have a pretty good idea about what it does.

Again, I really don't think you do.

You talk about meditation as though it's the destination, but it's not. Meditation is merely the vehicle you are driving to get to the destination.

Let's use an analogy:

Let's say swimming in the sea is 'enlightenment', or 'oneness', or 'nothingness', or whatever name your books give it. It's the destination.
And a car is the mode of transport used to get to the sea and swim. It's the meditation.
And the sea is a long way away.

When you drive the car, you will experience motion, acceleration, deceleration, g-forces on the sharp bends, the wind coming through the windows - and all of those things can be pleasurable.

But all you've done is drive your car for 5 hours.

You are mistaking driving the car for swimming in the sea - but because you've never been in the sea, you don't know the difference.

When you're swimming in the sea, you're no longer in the car.

I love doing meditation.

Until I got OBSESSIVE THOUGHTS..

argggggggggggggggghhhh how to stop it!!??

Easiest way is to concentrate on your breath. If you have too many fears and thoughts running around your head, focusing everything on your breath will help you to meditate.

Again, I really don't think you do.

Unfortunately, what you think I know or don't know doesn't matter to me. Only the truth does, and you seem to enjoy being a contrarian more than seeking it. That is sad.

I don't think you actually want to understand what I'm trying to tell you. I have DONE this type of meditation - EXTENSIVELY and I have found it to be very powerful but not what I am interested in. I have no interest in "enlightment", oneness or whatever else your club calls it because I simply am not suffering. I love who I am, I love being me, and even the bad times are still good because I am alive and experiencing creation. The only reason I meditate is for the supernatural effects they have on me. That's it! :D

Exactly.

What Pewep is doing is 'imagining' and not meditating. The act of imagining involves thinking - and thinking means you are not meditating. You are failing at the first hurdle.

Meditation is about not thinking. It's about stopping thought, getting beneath it, finding that place inside your mind that exists before thought begins.

Getting there is not an easy thing to do (and that's a major understatement) and takes a lot of practise. The reason it is so hard, is because every time to approach that place, you realise you are getting somewhere, you realise you are getting close to something, something feels different. And that realisation is a thought - and *poof*, it's gone.

Approaching that doorway is virtually impossible to do without realising you are approaching it. And every time you get closer, the realisation is harder to avoid. And the act of avoidance itself is thought.

Some people practise meditation their whole lives and never get through that door.

And if you do get through it, there's no way to describe it, because there is nothing there.

Meditation is about become NOTHINGNESS.

- NOTHING TO THINK
- NOTHING TO CONTROL
- NOTHING TO AFRAID
- NOTHING TO BE START
- NOTHING TO BE DONE
- NOTHING TO WIN
- AND NOTHING TO LOSE

BE NOTHING, AND JUST BECOME NOTHINGNESS

I don't think people fully appreciate the vast scope of meditation, and I blame it on the focus on mindfulness that has dominated the western hemisphere due to the practice being devoid of any type of religious/spiritual connotation.

Meditation is like exercise.

Exercise can make you very strong, can make you look very good, and can make you run very far.

However, it requires different exercise patterns to do any of those. Anaerobic and aerobic exercises are very different and they produce different bodies. However, both dramatically improve the health.

We both know you are the one avoiding the truth.

Back to the analogy where meditation is driving (towards the sea, hopefully) and 'enlightenment' is swimming:

You've been driving the car, that's all. You're excited because you've pressed the accelerator pedal and made the car go faster.
But driving is not swimming. Just as meditation is not 'enlightenment'.

But meditation is the journey, not the destination.
Practising your driving skills (meditation exercise) will only make you a better driver - it is not learning to swim.

What you guys think about this video?

okay! but weeds works for me better it takes me to all the chakra stages you mention above in a matter of seconds while entertaining me with some graphic visuals of me and beyonce fighting on bed i don't know about you but am sticking with my weed!

OP now I get what you're trying to ask.

Enlightenment comes from deep logical interpretation of the truth. It is basically a quest to find the truth. How all the planes are aligned in the universe we live? etc. All are explained by Metaphysics manuscripts from centuries back and people are still researching on them. If you will look deeply, you will find a lots of stuff online.

Just collect all the pieces and clear up all the theory starting from all the major holy epics to ancient occult scripts etc. See the pattern in the philosophies of all spiritual & religious beliefs.

I'm sure once you're done with the theory part, medication will help you understand the practical aspect.

But OP never try to go the wrong way. Rule of karma must not be ignored, NEVER!

Cheers!

Meditation is good for the humans but in our days nobody have the time to do it!!

Okay, now basically you're asking me what is the purpose of my meditations if there is no end goal, right? I have no goals, I am just enjoying life and all its intricacies and trying to learn more about the universe.

So what you're really recommending is we join a religion or "spiritual" body like a cult?

Is that the proper way to meditate p-wip?

Lol, this entire thread I've been telling you that there is no "right" way to meditate. Do what you are most comfortable with. My brother was a very, very strong atheist who would get livid when I would talk spirit stuff near him - until he started meditating.

His heart chakra and third eye opened and that basically really changed his world view. He's not sure what he is anymore, but let's just say he changed.

Do whatever meditation makes you happy - but ACTUALLY do it.

would really like to try your meditation and SPQRs WILD-method and I will do it for sure do.
But one question, how do you guys manage not to fall asleep or get distracted? Especially in the mornings I always have to take care not falling asleep, but if I try to meditate later, I get more easily distracted - and if I try to concentrate on my then, it distracts me from my actual meditation/ mantra :)
