[JOURNEY] Trading Forex to Consistent Profits

i opened a new position, short position

the structure has changed, i am in 2 positions now. my goal is to exit my first position at a slight loss, about 0.70%. at the same time i will profit on my new position 1.00%

my first position is not likely to make it to break even for me to exit, based on the new structure that has unfolded, so i have to exit as best as possible and move on

Forex is not easy bro, you have to keep learning, back tesing, and refining your stratgy. I suggest you learn supply and demand to get better understanding of the market. Another thong, it's very risking to trade during high impact news unless you konw what you are doing.
Good luck to you.

i closed both of my positions for a 2.12% loss

the reason why is because i was expecting an automatic reaction to push prices downward, at which point i can win 1 trade and exit my 1st trade

never happened though, price consolidate for way too long, 3 hours and still no selling pressure

so i decide to just abandon it, idk where price will go now. decent probability it will continue higher, still buying pressure is there

i am waiting for this buying climax to finish, then automatic reaction downward. at that point i may take a position, depends

let's see what happens

the rest of the day and night nothing really happening

will trade again tomorrow, down 1.1% for now

can make that back and more in 1-2 trades though

let's go

Im in trading too, but for crypto
wish you all luck, my friend

short position here, possible gain is 0.66%

price spiked up 20 pips in like 5 minutes LOL

nope'd out of there

closed my position at around break even, lost like 0.04%

fuck outta here with that volatility sht, gonna wait until sht has developed

i took another sell position, same as last one

didn't post last image of position so here it is, sell position look like it working, will see if i can get full profit or not

i won the trade

profits are not that much though, between 0.20-0.30%

the main reason being i decreased my risk from 2% per trade to 1% per trade

my intention for this is because i plan to do this for long term if it works. meaning there can be point where i am trading with $100,000 of capital. with my strategy, if i risk 2% then it is not uncommon for that risk to increase to 3 or 4% because i sometimes move my stop loss more. so 1% risk i think will give me the best chance at survival for the long game

profit per trade is low as a result but oh well

this week i'm down 0.90%, not that much

i can win that back in 1 trade, and after 2 trades i should be in profit

remember, my goal ultimately is 5% per month consistent

let's goo

i just got into a short position here, potential profit is about 1.30%

i think this trade will take a while to execute so i don't expect much activity for the rest of the day

reason why is because my target at this point is downtrend

i am no longer trading this small range to make profit because i believe this small range is pretty much ending soon

so i got in my position now, to ride the downtrend which will happen sometime in the future, maybe by the end of tonight it will happen?

idk. that pretty much wraps things up until next time

i'm curious to know how much percentage profit i can take per month out of this. the week is almost over now. making like 0.50% profit per week is not a whole lot of profit, but idk. things can change in 1 or 2 trading days. more opportunities open up each day, who knows how many more trading opportunities left this week

it's like waiting for gig to post, in order to take that gig and work it to make earning

anyway, let's goo

i closed my last trade and rook profit at 100%, then placed limit order for short position

idk if that was good idea or not because if i win this second trade then i would've made same amount of money if i had just let first trade go to 100%

only benefit really i get from this is i lock in profits from the first part

idk if that is worth it to even do, thought i could make more money by placing this second trade but oh well

i took profit at 50%*, mis spelling

i took a sell position here, this is the second trade i was talking about earlier

i realize now that near perfect entry and exit is bullshit

there is no way to achieve those things, there will always be some inaccuracy when getting into and out of trade, as you can see what happen to me here

i thought there would be pull back to last point of supply before continuing downtrend. i wanted to get in on any sort of pull back, so i waited, did other stuff with my life, come check back later, see if there is a pullback

what happened? pull back never came. so i decided to just enter in now, sell position

in reality i lost about 7-10 pips worth of profit, the difference from exiting my first trade, to entering now when price went further down

this type of inaccuracy there is no way to be perfect on. honestly i think 50% accuracy is acceptable because this short term price movement is truly unpredictable

what's funny too is that even now may not be good time to enter. even though i waited for some time, price could pull back, right after i decided to get in on trade. you know, how that meme gif goes where CEO is on the phone and says "he bought? good. dump it" and then price goes straight down right after retail trader buys lol. that same sht is what could happen to me here, you never can see it coming

do you now see why near perfect entry is bullshit?

i can still profit without near perfect entry and exit though, definitely. because i know the direction the move will go in. i will never be able to always get 100% or even 80% of the move. on average i can probably only get 50% or 40% of it

that is how the profits come

will update on how this trade goes, i think i should get to take profit by tomorrow. i changed risk to 1% in the middle of this week so i am around break even now. if i kept risk consistent i would be at 1.5% profit for this week which is good. at 4 weeks that's 6% profit a month which is slightly above my goal

even just making a 5% profit every month is really fucking hard to do

that is reality of trading

update: as soon as i placed order, price went upward and produced green candle

i closed my position at 0.15% loss and re entered again at the better price

i wanted to get in on that pull back, instead of being forced to have entered at the worst time

fuck you market

let's goo

i think i MAYBE starting to get hang of this

would be nice to be able trade for a living

maybe one day i can build it up, get to 100k capital

that would be pretty sweet, just living off trading with 100k. make 3-4% per month, even that is acceptable. $3-4k a month profits

sounds like a dream life, to be honest. using skill and ability to generate full time income, can live anywhere in the world, legit all i need is phone to make trades on, and internet lol.. all my money problems, solved. can do whatever else i want with my time

crazy stuff man, time to be alive

let's goo

thanks folks

update:

i won my previous trade, i'm at a slight profit now for this week, like 0.11%

i took a sell position around here, smart money is deceiving the masses by producing a large-ish green candle on low volume

i think i should be able to take profit on this sell position

let's see what happens

EURUSD_2025-02-06_10-08-33.png

update:

i had to get out of the trade at around break even, lost 0.05%

i was trying to figure out if this is a break out to upside or if it will go back to trading range

it is too difficult to figure out though because too much volatility

buyer and seller are in a constant dead heat

which is why i decided to just leave at around break even and wait until this passes for a more stable opportunity to earn money
