Journey to 500$ a month

How do i plan getting there? Basically, doing ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. I started with 18$. I bought a domain for two years. It's basically a website about Movies. I intend putting movie reviews, lists, DVD purchases through amazon affiliates.

My knowledge and skills?

I have started in the making-money-on-the-internet "industry" as a freelancer on sites such as Script Lance and Odesk. Then i have slowly moved to working for internet marketers and doing the technical things they do not know how to do. My very developed skills consist of:

~ Making High Quality videos from scratch, real knowledge not just templates-using + a lot of experience in this field.
~ Photoshop and virtually anything visual, from faking things, creating banners, design, good-looking posters, everything.( I'm also following an Art High School right now, yeah, I'm 17 only, sorry to break it to you)
~ Website creating, mostly using platforms such as wordpress, joomla but i can also effectively manipulate HTML to get what i want, sometimes the pre-made stuff just aren't enough and for those cases i have more than enough Coding knowledge.
~ Soundtrack creating and manipulating (not music, just testimonials& other similarities) I also own a Studio High Quality microphone from a previous internet job.
~ Expert Hardware knowledge, how things work, problems, how to fix them (this is generally useless but maybe I'll monetize it someday)
~ Article writing, i own a personal blog with over 300 articles and have previously owned even more.
~ Social Media knowledge.
~ SEO Knowledge, such as building backlinks, getting the rank up, making the website SEO-friendly for Google Bot.

I have decided it's time to start my own thing and STOP doing the technical work for marketers and getting a pathetic amount of money for doing a ridiculous skill-requiring job.

I'm open to suggestions, propositions, corrections, anything! Thank you for reading all this, cheers!

With that many skills, you should aim for more than $500. I would suggest mastering only one field, be it web designing or writing or SEO whatever, just earn a name in that specific industry and you could be making that much money per day.
There is a term : "
jack of all trades, master on none"

but you should at least be "master on ONE"!

You're already a jack of all trades, its time to be a master in whatever that interests you the most.

Best of luck!

You and I have a similar set of skills. I can make that $500 per month with just freelance design. I am developing two websites right now that are only making about $10 per month in adsense. But....they are making money and I feel great about it. I build links manually and I can see the results!

One website is just a blogger blog on veterans benefits but it's doing well for being a new blog. The other is a technology website that is still being developed. It will be a product review website with adsense. I also have an autoblog that is a few months old. I do nothing on it. I set it up three months ago and let it be. Surprisingly, it is getting visits...up to 50 per day. I run adsense on it and get a few clicks from here to there.

Anyhow, if I can make an extra $500 per month revenue in adsense. I would be most pleased. I read this forum daily. It's been that way for a few months. I think if we both stick with what we are doing and give it an honest effort, we will both meet our goal!

Best of luck in your endeavor OP! Keep watering that money tree!

500 per month is more than possible... even if you could do two webdesign jobs on a freelance site, 250 per each...

You are making a good plan but you must be making a short goal.

That quote is simply a.m.a.z.i.n.g. Thank you, It's very helpfull!

Sorry for not updating, There's been a lot going on. I've decided I can't start with a simple domain, I've started working on fiverr for getting money and starting something real good. I've earned around 70$ until now. That money has to be enough for domains. Also thanks to a very good friend, I have a paid hosting service (by him, so I don't have to pay anything) with unlimited bandwith, space and domains. That will be really helpful.

I've decided to master the SEO, which is incredibly hard. I've read a TON of guides, starting from the basics. Now i plan on building two sites:

The first one i want to make it my SEO success, where i can use what I've learned, invest a lot in it (time & work, money I don't have and it's not necessary)

The second one: I want to write a really straight-forward easy to understand E-book about SEO. Not the usual crap with tags, meta, backlinks and rank. Just straightforward what REALLY matters. I want to sell it as a product together with the MEANS of making that SEO real; such as: List of websites that accept your link automatically (for backlinks) usefull article spinners, etc. everything i can get my hands on.

How does it sound?
