Journey to 40$ a Day

if I may advice: don't do actions with a strict timing. Setup a timing (like you did, for example once every 10 minutes) but add a random factor % on that timing so it looks more natural.

Hey, thanks for the comment.
You're right, I will do that now!

Day 5

Results:

Account 1:
  • Following: 438 (+124)
  • Followers: 1248 (+18)
  • Follow back ratio: 0.14
Account 2:
  • Following: 459 (+143),
  • Followers: 146 (+16),
  • Follow back ratio: 0.375
Account 3:
  • Following: 39 (+3),
  • Followers: 27 (+16),
  • Follow back ratio: 0.32
Total:
  • Following: +270
  • Followers: +50
  • Follow back ratio: 0.18

Summary:
  • Made scheduling pretty random.
  • I was hit with a lock on account 1, so that was pretty annoying.
  • Seems like my growth slowed down, I think i'll switch around key words and maybe start to unfollower some.
  • Not following much on account 3, just randomly liking posts from keywords.

Findings:
  • Account 2's niche doesn't seem to be much in demand anymore (you can tell by how many results come up from keywords), I might change its name all together so I can fit in more keywords
  • Account 3 is growing from likes probably because the novelty of the niche and fan devotion. Pretty jarring though that it grew as much as the first two.
Next:

I made several accounts on different platforms. I'm not sure which I'm going to tackle next, but I think I'm going to go with consistent naming throughout the platforms so maybe there could be cross-platform growth going on. Still very open to suggestions.

Day 7

Results:

Account 1:
  • Followers: 1269 (+21)
Account 2:
  • Followers: 185 (+39),
Account 3:
  • Followers: 34 (+7),
Total:
  • Followers: +67

Summary:
  • I stopped doing 24 hour follow cycles, it's now over the course of roughly 16 hours.
  • Started unfollowing people who didn't follow back (hence the following statistics being gone).
  • I'm playing around with different keywords and seeing which gains the most traction.
  • Occasionally log into each account to Tweet.
  • Working on a blog now which I will be directing traffic towards.
  • My numbers suck, but I'm looking for legitimacy over churn and burn. So that's fine.

Findings:
  • It's more intuitive to have the bots running during active times of the day. Target people in your time zone.
  • Horny men are more active during the night, so if that's you're niche, then running it during the night may be better.
  • Each account liked over 1000 tweets, and I think that is unnatural behavior. Also, I don't think it's effective. My follower rates seemed to go down, rather than go up. So I don't think likes matter. Disabled it for now.
Next:

While the Twitter bot is on auto pilot, I'll be building an authority site.
I finished writing one article in the niche just now. Hopefully I can have two more done by the end of today.

Regalia.

Day 8

Results:

Account 1:
  • Followers: 1302 (+33)
Account 2:
  • Followers: 234 (+49),
Account 3:
  • Followers: 35 (+1),
Total:
  • Followers: +83

Summary:
  • More aggression, follow every 3 minutes over roughly 16 hour period.
  • Got a lock (probably cause my bot bugged up), PVA'd through the app Pinger.
  • Letting Account 3 age before I start aggression
  • Wrote 3 articles yesterday, each being 500+ words each.

Findings:
  • Twitter API doesn't seem to care about the follow aggression every 3 minutes.
  • There's a PLETHORA of free content out there to write articles, it's a matter of sentence spinning, rephrasing, and writing it well.
  • Articles shouldn't be spammy, or a waste of the user's time. Try to provide value by spinning information intuitively so it's easy to digest for the user.
Next:

  • Ship the website (Buy Domain + Hosting).
  • Apply for Amazon Affiliates, Google AdSense, and everything else I can.
  • Need to write more articles, and find more data sources.
  • Still need to find good content to produce for the accounts, I think the content should revolve around the website.
  • Start testing out other social media sites.

I'm following your journey very carefully because we have a similar technical approach :)
I'm currently working on something targetted at amazon, if you need help about anything (I'm talking about automation / API and so on, not marketing related) feel free to write me!

Yo, maybe we could talk on Skype and exchange automation ideas. I'll PM you my skype.

Yikes, my biggest account got locked. And it looks like Pinger SMS doesn't go through either for Twitter verifications. I might be fucked, I shot them an email asking if I could get a voicemail or email for verification instead. Will post updates on whether I get it back or not.

On a positive note, my authority site is up and running on free AWS credits and a namecheap domain (10$). Going to try and get it approved from amazon affiliates, and various other websites. Then I'll start making content revolving around the products/offers.

Day 9

Results:

Account 1:Followers: 1302 (RIP)
Account 2:Followers: 287 (+53),
Account 3: Followers: 37 (+2),
Followers gained: +55.. 1302 lost :')

Summary/Findings:
  • Text messages don't send through Pinger to PVA, avoid apps like Sideline at all cost.
  • I followed 300+ people daily on Account 2, not a single lock. Account 1 was hit with it. I think you need to be actively tweeting, and not just mass following.
  • Submitted my authority site to search engines.
  • Applied for various affiliate programs.
  • Made an Instagram.
Next:
  • ... This is going to be a long journey :)

EDIT: HOLY SHIT
For the locked accounts you guys have, did you guys ever try contacting Twitter support? They replied to me in a day. My account is unlocked, I didn't need to verify anything.

Looks like my account is back. I'm going to be A LOT more careful this time.
Account 1: Followers: 1295 (-7)
