Journey to 1000 Instagram Pages using Mother-Slave Method

The mother account is gaining about 20 followers per day now.

I had to add more target accounts because some of the slaves were overlapping eachother (following the same users) which made it look a bit spammy. We received some complaints from people saying "hey I had 4 accounts follow me using your photos, I think they stole your photos?) hehe.

I'm also building a crawler which will allow me to input a hashtag and it will find accounts that post with that hashtag, who are not private, who have more than 1000 followers. This will allow me to easily get more target accounts to "follow their followers". It seems like for every slave account I add, I need at least 2 or 3 more target accounts, or at least an extra 1000 followers. Some of the target accounts don't gain followers often, so by spreading it out across more target accounts seems to be better.

Haven't made any sales yet (that came from followers on Instagram). It may take a lot longer to start getting sales, but keep in mind new followers might not buy until 6 months later.

Next time we launch a new product on the website, I'm going to run an experiment by creating a task to get the slave accounts to post a Photo+Story of the product, and tag the mother page like "New stock released, go to @XXXX for more info"

I also want to test getting all the slaves to "share a post to direct message" and message it to 5 of their followers, to see what happens.

Again, total cost per follower gained is still high because it includes the cost of setting up the slaves to begin with, which will eventually go down over time.
There are some days with $0 spend because the tasks are automatically approved after 4 days that the user submits them, unless I manually approve them myself. The $13.80 on the 14th was from adding more slave accounts.

The main issue I am seeing with this method is the fact that your slave will follow each - other followers with time. That why automation is king when it comes to mother salve even if the cost now is way higher than a year ago.
This method isn't easily scalable because you will not have all the options automation offer to really make it profitable.
With your method, I will not bother to make my slave follow but only like/comment/stories/DM and interact with the mother pages as well + promote mother pages product in their feed/stories.
Since it all manual work: you can ask them to stick to 5-4 sources/slave, turn their post notifications on to comment as fast as possible targetting the main...

I'll follow your journey from now on! Interested in seeing the end results. So far, it looks pretty expensive, you could have better results for cheaper using ads. But in the long run, it might be worth it!

The problem with the way you're doing it is that you'll end up following your own slave accounts eventually. Also, you can't really tell if the accounts you are following are bots or real active people. That's why automation is useful. You can target people who have a bio, have posted recently and have a certain amount of followers and following. You can also scrape followers who liked every picture of the past week, for example, and get yourself a lot of real targeted engaging and active followers, which would increase your followback ratio and help you grow your main account faster!

Thanks for the feedback. Yes initially there is some overlap, but only about 1 or 2%, not much. I have built a scraper to get tens of thousands of target accounts now who post using certain hashtags of our target city, so there should not be any overlap with that. Actually, I'm able to add about 200 slave accounts per day, that seems pretty scalable to me.
Interesting that you say to not follow anymore, I haven't had experience with just doing likes/comments/stories/DM only. Did you find you got more follows back this way? Or less action blocks? What was the advantage? None of the slaves have had any action blocks yet. Even if they do, they can easily be replaced by another.
When you say to "turn on post notifications to comment as fast as possible" what do you mean by that? What would you get them to comment on exactly? Do you mean, if someone likes one of the photos, to go to their profile and comment on one of theirs?

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, it "looks" expensive so far, only because of the cost incurred in setting up the slave accounts. But if you look at the cost per follow gained to the slave network, its only $0.05 per follower, and that will eventually drop down to below $0.02 per follower once I stop building slaves and only spend money on engagement actions.
Yes automation is useful, but far riskier in the long run. None of the slaves have had any action blocks yet. I agree, there is some "wastage" because all I'm telling them is "only follow people who have a profile picture". So this still includes private accounts, business accounts, other bot accounts. However, today we got our first sale from a follower gained from this strategy. I'll post an update later today.
Any other suggestions you have to optimise things would be appreciated

Awesome! Congratulations! Looks like you're on the right track!

I usually think of things to do and add or twists to make when I actually work on it, so I'm just saying things that I would try, just to see if they would work or not. For example, one thing I would try, is to mix your method with automation. You could use a bot to scrape the active accounts I talked about on my previous post and send a list to your workers so they only follow these accounts (on their PC, maybe, it would be easier I guess).

If you used jarvee for this operation,how many vps,proxies would you need and how much would it cost?

Hey thanks for info. are the functions you mention like: scrape followers, bio targeting performed by jarvee or another tool?

Because for me, if there is a way to specifically target followers and bios of profiles that are in my niche and utilize the data for my growth, that would be really awesome.

I kind of want to stay away from automation. Trying to build a business around an army of real people so I never have to worry about account blocks. If I do scrape the actual end followers, would you recommend I tell the user "Click on this link, and follow the person." OR should i say "copy and paste this username in to the search, click on that profile and follow them." I wonder which way would look more automated?

It would probably cost half as much, but would be twice the headache since you still have to setup all the accounts manually yourself. With my method, my workers are doing all that for me. And my method seems to be a more long term solution. As soon as those residential proxies get caught by some proxy detection agency, the data is shared with instagram, then bang, its blocked.

The scraping of the list of target accounts whos followers to follow, is done by a custom Python script I built. I just plug in a hashtag, set how many accounts I want, and I let it run and collect usernames. It skips users with no profile pics, and I can set it to only include people who are following less than 4000 people, and have more than 10 followers themselves.

i do not think this is the best idea.

Total combined followers gained to slave accounts: 2189 ($0.04 per follower)

She got her first sale yesterday from a follower gained using this strategy (I know this because I saw the DM screenshot with her username submitted by a worker). This has already put her in a profiable position in the first week of running. Keep in mind some followers might only decide to buy something 12 months later, so to get sales this early is fantastic. I have paused adding more slaves and will continue on Monday. I'll have a much longer list of target accounts by then with my scraper that I built.

She reports show she only gained 1 follower, but she actually gained about 25 in that day because she lost some fake followers purchased a month ago.

Shes gaining about 30 followers a day, losing about 10 from buying fake followers last month.
