Been a while since I posted on here, but it's time for a comeback!
For the first time, I got myself an aged domain. Bought for around 700$ on Serpnames. 16 years old, and 50RD's, a very good price for such domain imo.
I'll try to keep this thread easy to understand, not just post results, but also how I go about the process.

What's the site about?
It's a niche site, like many others, what niche I will not say for obvious reasons. I will point out though that the site will only have informational content. The niche as a whole is filled with products and has a buyer-type audience.How will the site make money?
As mentioned above I will only focus on informational content. That means display ads is the best alternative in terms of monetization. Ezoic will be the first target, and after that AdThrive or Mediavine. At a later stage I'll try to sprinkle in some in-text amazon affiliate links as well.What's the long term goal?
The long term goal is around 300 articles in a year's time. This means the site should make at least 1000$/month, this is how I calculate it;250 clicks/month/article x 300 articles = 75 000 clicks/month
75 000 x 15$ RPM = 1125$/month
This is somewhat low of an estimation, but it's better to aim low than high.75 000 x 15$ RPM = 1125$/month
Month 1 - Summary
Every month I will update how it panned out, and since this is the first month not much is to be shown. Even though it has only been a week, I count this as month 1 (since it's the 30th).What has been done?
I had to finish the basics first, this includes;- Author profile - An author profile that shows somewhere on the article page helps Google understand the site is an authority. It also makes the readers understand who's behind the site and makes it seem more trustworthy.
- Categories - To setup the different categories isn't always as easy as you think. I've planned out what categories should be on the site now, and the future categories.
- Keyword research - Of course, keyword research has been done. It was done with Keywordchef, of which I picked out 25 starting articles.
- Published articles - I posted 4 articles this first month, but I'm happy with that. The following month the goal is 40 published articles, and a more fine tuned site overall. That should give me a quick head start.
- Logo - Logo and similar stuff has been added to give the site a lift. Luckily I did photoshop at an early age so this didn't turn out to be an expense.
